just called Amex. They said you would be elligible as long as you don't have or had a SPG Business Amex card before. So if you have a person account, go ahead and sign up!

The T&C confirm this (emphasis mine):

Offer not available to existing Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Cardmembers. To be eligible, Cardmember must charge $1,000 of
eligible purchases to the Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card during the first three months of Cardmembership. Cardmembership
commences on the date the Card application is approved. 30,000 Starpoints will be credited to Cardmember's account 8 to 12 weeks after
the $1,000 spend threshold is reached. Offer expires 7/6/10. Eligible purchases do not include cash and cash equivalent transactions
(including balance transfers, convenience checks, and cash advances ), interest charges, fees, and purchase credit adjustments.
Unfortunately, I got the dreaded 14-day message... Too many new Amex 25000 / United 50000 / AA 30000 accounts lately

I just called about this. If you have NOT had a car in the past 2 years you are eligible. But the application must be online. Call up and you get only 10,000 points.

I do have a personal SPG card, but have never had the Business version. However, I don't run my own business either. I've read in the past that that "shouldn't" matter. If so, how would you guys answer the "Business name", "Annual business revenue", "Industry type" and "Years in operation" fields in the application form?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an Instant Account number at this time.
Your application will be processed as soon as possible, and we will notify you of the decision by mail within 14 days.
Thank you for applying!

Question

With the offer expiration date being 7/6 - if I apply today and get the 14-day message then does the date of application count (i.e. before 7/6) or the date of approval (probably after 7/6)?

I believe you are okay ; since you applied on June 30th, you are good to go and made the deadline

I gotten those messages before, and I still received the incentives
