Strangely I did a google search and came across people as obsessed with skyscrapers as we are with points! See http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...332643&page=42 for people salivating over the St. Regis BKK's construction. Some great photos that will keep us updated until it actually opens.

I'm in BKK mid-late Jan. Might just stay in USM and HKT now.

I wouldn't let this delay a BKK trip! The Four Seasons right next door is a great hotel by the way.

Eh. In my very limited experience there, feels much more to me like a FS than it feels like being in BKK. The MO can't be much more than that, if you're already in that price range.

I'd like to try out the St. Regis in mid-March, but the website isn't accepting any bookings. I have a feeling the Feb opening date will slip.

Actually if you use the Virtuoso package (free breakfast for 2 everyday of your stay also including room service, free massage at spa, free set lunch menu for 2 to a value of 5000 BHT, confirmed upgrade at time of booking), combined with their current buy 3, 4th night is free- this hotel prices very competitively for BKK. I still think this is one of the most classic properties in Bangkok- and depending on your thinking-a much more convenient location than the MO.

Completely agree with regard to location, TRAVELSIG. IMO, MO is very inconvenient.
