This is why everyone here agrees with you and says that SQ F is better than LH F in the air.

SQ or LH from FRA to JFK?

hello,

I have just checked with the ana tool availability and I got one F-class seat either on LH *** (2 flights are aivalable) or on SQ 26 from FRA-JFK. So which one should I choose? When I fly LH I can use their F-terminal and all F-class service stuff. But which F-class is better regarding service, food, seat, ...

thx

Absolutely agree. Just took a flight ZRH-SIN on SQ with the new C. Beats most airlines in F!! Private seat, fully flat etc. Very charming and responding ladys, not so robotic as encountered with TG. These girls were even open to jokes and some chitchat.
Another FA, I didn't see her before, knew my name and seat when I ordered some snack in the galley.

As long as they have the new C seats I will trade any other airline F against SQ new C. Sorry LX, TG and LH, but no chance here.

I second the advice to fly LH out of FRA and SQ out of Sin if u can. SQ is far better in general than LH, but I like to try differnet flights and airlines, especially out of their home airport. just my 3 cents!!

I second the idea of flying LH out for FRA. However, the only "better" thing on SQ is the seat. Food and staff is much about personal like or dislike. I simply prefer European style better than Asian touch. However, my first priority is to sleep on board. For that I would choose SQ.

How about the difference between LH F and LX F? I'm looking at flying the A340, with a 1-2-1 configuration for both carriers, as part of a RTW. Anyone with an outspoken opinion about which one is better?

After countless flights in LH F i deceided to try SQ C. SIN-SYD-SIN on the A380 and then SIN-FRA on the 777.

I was extremely positively surprised about SQ C. Yes, it is only C. Comparing the two this is my experience of SQ C:
- the attention of the flight attendants is not as good and personal, but still extremely good
+ despite serving many people the food service was quicker (allows more time to sleep) than on LH F
- the food is not as good as LH F, but not by a big margin. SQ had some good asian chioces.
+for the 380: The A380 is significantly less noisy than the 747/777.
o The SQ seats are somewhat unique: The back folds down into a bed which is a little small in the shoulder area, but long enough to sleep well (i am 1.80). The surface is fairly flat and does not have the bumps of normal seats/suites.
Also the surface is parallel to the floor and not angled. I slept very well.
- Disadvantage is: you have to get out of your seat, unfold/fold everything instead of just reclining your seat and sleep.
+ The privacy is much better than in LH F, especially on the 747

So my overall opinion about the product in the air:
The new SQ C is surprisingly good. When traveling alone the additional privacy outweighs the advantages of LH F (mainly the wider seat at shoulder level).

LH still has the far better product on the ground in FRA.

Save Miles and go SQ New 773 ER in C Class both ways^

You are using a lot of miles for a Cab to The aircraft and caviar

Have you ever flown LX F?

LX (and even TG) F products are definitely better than SQ's new C. No doubt. F is F after all...at least on the above mentioned carriers.

I agree that SQ's new C is the best C I've flown but I still prefer F on LX and TG (haven't tried LH so far).

Of course, my favorite is still SQ's (new) F .

To the OP: I suggest following the advices of Kiwi and SanDiego1K

Question Twist on the OP's original Query

Ok...variation on the OP's original question.

I'm currently booked in F on LH778, FRA>SIN. I'm connecting from SEA>FRA on an LH 330 in F.

My final destination is Bali, and I'm booked on the last flight of the day, at 7pm or so.

If I stick with this itinerary, I'll be in FRA, and thus the FCT, for 12 hours. However, if I take LH to LHR, I can catch SQ319 LHR>SIN, and arrive earlier enough to catch the 4pm flight to Bali.

Who would advise I stick to LH, the FRA FCT and a 12 hour layover, vs the extra hop to LHR, (4 hours in the VS clubhouse) SQ319 to SIN, and then MAYBE catching the 4pm SIN>DPS flight (if I don't, I wait 5 hours in SIN - in the C lounge).

How would weigh this choice?

FRA JFK in SQ F

I have never had the opportunity to take SQ in First, but mny times on LH. So I booked SQ 026/SQ025 F-Class next for month. Of course, I was intrigued by the new F-Class. But AFAIK this route is still without the suites, or am I in error here?

Having been twice to the FCT in the past couple of weeks, it is a nice lounge, but I would have to say that SQ F in the air beats LH F + FCT on the ground. Even though a Porsche to the plane is cool.

Only downside to the FRA-LHR-SIN plan above is the extra flight, meaning an extra chance for a missed connection.

Do note (and see my current trip report on IAD-FRA-SIN-DPS, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=806069) that I personally would find 12 hours way too long in the First Class Terminal but as an arriving LH F passenger you're entitled to a day room at the Kempinski Hotel free of charge. Consider heading over there for your sleep/shower and then heading back to the FCT if you decide not to go for the extra flight and SQ F.

The flight is operated by a 747, which has the old seats. But they're a generation ahead of the LH F seats.

Finding award F seats on SQ with the new F is close to impossible. It has been done, but not often (other than using SQ miles and paying the premium).

Is it just me not looking through all the LX route inventories, but it seems that only a limited amount of their routes (I mean very limited) have F.
