FCL admission
If one is on LH on an F award (not J) but in J due to the flight from the US not having F (A340), and then connecting in F to CDG, do we have the right to use the FCL in FRA? We are *G.
Or do you actually have to fly in F (not just be ticketed in F) to gain access?
Thanks in advance.

Yup. And, believe it or not, you're ticketed in C, not F, so that line of reasoning doesn't really help. You bought the F "fare" on your award but each segment is ticketed for the cabin of travel.

Can anyone offer more insight on the Maple Leaf Lounge? Seems like it would be a nice alternative to the Senator or whatever LH Lounge there is which sounds crowded.
I'm arriving on UA F, and departing on TG F.

Better drink selection, a nice bar where they provide you with Cocktails, real champagne etc. Also much bigger and more seats.
Food selection overall comparable, slight edge to LH SEN (but depends on your taste I guess).
When I was in the Maple Leaf Lounge it was totally overcrowded, no seat to find. At the same time, the LH SEN lounge was almost empty. SEN lounge seemed much more quiet as well, probably due to the more widespread layout.
Could have been the wrong time (dunno whether a lot of AC flights were about to leave FRA), but really not such a good experience.
The only thing I found excellent in the Maple Leaf lounge were the large american style chocolate chip cookies
But if you have 7h to kill, why not try both ;-)

Why would you make this suggestion without knowing whether the OP qualifies or not?
Unless the OP is arriving in FRA in First or Business on LH, UA, LX or is LH HON, SEN or FTL (and/or a few other variances), OP has no access to Welcome Lounge.
Check out admission criteria here

(2) The following passengers may also access the Lufthansa Welcome Lounge at Frankfurt Airport:
- Passengers of United Airlines (First and Business Class and Global Services cardholders) and Continental Airlines (Business Class) arriving in Frankfurt
- Passengers arriving in Frankfurt after a Lufthansa intercontinental flight (First and Business Class) via Dusseldorf or Munich

Can someone tell me the difference between the Senators Lounge, The Welcome Arrivals Lounge, and the J class Lounge. There are so many different LH lounges my head is spinning.

SEN lounges are for Star gold and non-LH/LX Star Alliance first class passengers (LH/LX first class passengers use the HON lounges).
Business lounges are for Star Alliance business class.
There are several of each of these lounges - because the airport is huge.

Wouldn't you say food & beverage is slightly better in Senator lounges?
The new Senator and Business lounges in Pier A+/Z have 10 showers each (at least in non-Schengen, not sure about the Schengen lounges) and the Welcome Lounge has 20+ showers. No more long gueues there.
All have showers (generally with long queues).

I'm arriving on UA F. I don't have any *A status. It's my understand I do not have access to the LH Welcome/Arrivals Lounge in FRA?
