FCL admission

If one is on LH on an F award (not J) but in J due to the flight from the US not having F (A340), and then connecting in F to CDG, do we have the right to use the FCL in FRA? We are *G.
Or do you actually have to fly in F (not just be ticketed in F) to gain access?
