Dave,

Once it's booked, they are every bit as booked as a paid passenger!

Being among the last few to checkin for a boarding pass, or not being at thw gate by 10min before departure are really the only ways to be risk being denied boarding.

You could also wear a shirt with an F-bomb on it.

Just got my Companion pass in the mail after about a week of designating a user. Card looks pretty plain.

In the process of designating my companion, it's not asking for their RR#...seems odd?

I see. Can you enlighten us as to what your expectations were?

When i first achieve the CP, do you have to designate right away? Or can I wait say 3 months?

I have been fortunate to have CP since 1996 and until about three years ago they were off-white. With new RR2.0 they had cool "porthole" style and nice color. Can't complain about program as far better than any other. No one allows free travel like this.

I added my wifes RR # to CP and her reservations ( as a companion ) show up when she logs into RR.

LOL, to tell you the truth I'm not even sure but I I did it online or possibly via SM.

Here are the emails I received when I was adding CP, maybe they will help.

You are now ready to designate your Companion:

Log in to your Rapid Rewards account at southwest.comŽ.
Complete the "Choose Your Companion" form and click "submit."
Or, if you prefer, call us at 1-800-435-9792.

"log in to your Member account on southwest.com. Once you have accessed your account, click on the blue "My Account" link, and then click on the "My Rapid Rewards" tab. Scroll down, and on the left side of the page you will see a box that says "Companion Pass." Click on "View Details."
