I'm holding a SLH reservation for June. No one has contacted me, not the hotel and not Hyatt. I wish I had a better WOH concierge.

Nothing has happened as yet, so I'm not sure what they would contact you about. Realistically, the most compelling thing that has happened is the Hilton announcement, and I'd not expect either to contact you about that.

I did contact our late July hotel and they said all was well. Which it is...for now.

Cheers.

Is it safe to book an SLH property for an end of March stay? I care about status qualifying nights.

So other only redeeming points was the real feature?

I spent $8k at a SLH and didn't get credit for incidentals. I emailed Hyatt Consumer Affairs who said incidentals don't count toward points!

To me, being able to earn points and Hyatt nights at high-end properties was the main benefit, though the utility was limited because Hyatt rates were often so much higher than the SLH rate.

It was also pretty nice burning points at Villa Spalletti Trivelli in Rome, where Hyatt otherwise has no high-end option.

This for us as well. We had a stay booked in Venice that we had to cancel due to pandemic constraints on testing, but it looked like a very nice place that we were looking forward to, with no similar Hyatt options.

The one that we currently have is in Split Croatia, a few minute walk from the pier where our coastal cruise departs. Hard to beat that at 20K points.

Cheers.

Have a booking on points at Cape Fahn at the end of the year. Should I be looking for another hotel now? Do we think they will cancel all points bookings since they dont get paid until the stay and if they are not associated with Hyatt at the time of the stay then they wont get paid?

I would book a fully refundable backup just in case. I assume we’ll have more clarity soon.

So was mine in July. And I can no longer book that hotel even with $. Perhaps the shoe has dropped.

Cheers.

I had one for the end of March. Gone. Which makes it tricky since this is a trip in two weeks. Chatting with Hyatt now, they are saying they see the reservation on their end. Then they ended the chat, lol.

I think my points were not refunded, so maybe the reservation is still there? I'm reaching out to the hotel directly.

Edit: the hotel confirmed the reservation, so it might be a Hyatt glitch. But the hotel is not bookable with points anymore.

An unceremonious and abrupt way to end the partnership. All the properties now show unavailable to book and looks like the existing reservations don't show up too though they don't seem to actually be cancelled for now.

Someone on Reddit chatted wih Hyatt and got May 15th as the end date of SLH partnership. No benefits after that it seems, not even qualifying nights: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyatt/comme...from_upcoming/

I wonder if we'll get qualifying nights for stays before May 15th. I'm chasing Globalist challenge, and not getting qualifying nights would be a no-go for me.

My 2025 reservations are still intact. I didn’t have any 2024.

Formal update from Hyatt: https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/e...ls-update.html.

You'll earn points and qualifying nights for reservations checking in on or before 5/15. Reservations checking in after 5/15 will be honored but not be eligible to earn points or qualifying nights.
