Yes but the poster I replied to would be on a paid ticket. Not an award.

Upcoming RTW DL award trip, trying to get MLE-NBO on a Tuesday.

Only ST option I can find is via SVO on Sun/Thurs.

Any ideas?

Only real alternative would be buying a ticket to DXB (emirates) or BOM (airIndia via CMB) and taking a KQ flight from either of those two. dXB would be a long layover.... And BOM would require 11pm-3am waiting in BOM airport. (no idea, but sounds like no fun).

BOM has a nice new Intl terminal with decent lounges. I've taken the BOM-NBO KQ flight and had no problem spending a couple hours at the airport medicating myself for the flight. Are you in business class? KQ has flat sleeper seats so you can get some good rest.

I am in business on the KQ leg. Thanks for the input.

I'll be landing 11pm-ish from CMB on either Jet or AirIndia... On a different ticket.

Will I need to clear customs in BOM, or is it all consolidated in one terminal? What if I check bags (don't think I can interline between those carriers on separate tickets)....

Sorry I've never flown in from CMB but it ought to be in the same terminal. Give the airline a call about that and see if you can interline. Anything is possible in India!

Check whether you would need a visa for transit at BOM.

(SVO requires a visa to leave the airport, but you can transit airside, although this can be a risk in IROPs, where at best you would be put in a special transit section of an airport hotel and not allowed to leave your room/floor during an unexpected overnight in Russia if your passport normally requires a visa in advance for Russia.)

"The new year will witness the launch our on-line Round the World booking tool, making it possible for customers to book their Round the World trip on-line."
Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere yet. However, a genuine online booking tool for RTW tickets would be quite useful, IMHO - ideally along with online booking for the SkyTeam 'Go' regional passes. (I find it slightly frustrating that these kinds of tickets are often mentioned in SkyTeam promotional material, but it's almost impossible to find enough out about them to actually book them...)

with DL's new policy on how many MQMs are earned based on fare purchase, what is the policy on MQMs earned on a skyteam RTW ticket? Is the 50% bonus, the 100% bonus, or none at all?

Question RTW Y Fares and Mileage/Segment Earning

Hi all,

Just a quick question (may have been asked/answered before, but I can't find it) ...

If I book a SkyTeam RTW ticket in Y (lowest mileage band, lowest possible fare ex UK) what fare class(es) do I end up in?

More specifically, will all segments earn level miles and segments in my Flying Blue account?

The itinerary I'm looking at (which is in lieu of a r/t ticket, UK-Oz) involves KL DL and CZ metal.

Many thanks.

4 fare levels for a max. mileage up to:
26.000 miles (fare basis: RTWSKY 4)*
29.000 miles (fare basis: RTWSKY 3)
33.000 miles (fare basis: RTWSKY 2)
38.000 miles (fare basis: RTWSKY 1)

On KL class L for RTW 1-2 and class Q for RTW 3-4 (both 50%EQM)
On DL class K for RTW 1-2 and class L for RTW 3-4 (both 50%EQM)
On CZ class M for RTW 1-2-3 and class G for RTW 4 before 26 oct 2013 (both 40%EQM)

Normally all segments accrual both level and qualifying flights, but don't forget to verify because it could change

For all ST companies this link precise all booking classes in the three cabins:

Can anyone share the link to full(est available) RTW ticketing ticketing rules for ST?

Questions:
1) which fare shall be used (of which airline) depending on what
2) sales restrictions (ala SITI etc) - seems to be none now
3) manual fare etc confirmation with an airline

I see here that autopricing is now supported in Amadeus... Which might mean no more quote to be received from an airline...
