ST RTW from SGN prices
I do RTWs out of SGN fairly regularly and have gotten the following prices. When I do my ST RTWs, I get my tickets from Air France's office whose prices are pretty much harmonized with *A's RTW rates.
COACH
RTW Special (26,000 miles) - $2,399
RTWSKY1 (29,000 miles) - $2,889
RTWSKY2 (34,000 miles) - $3,319
RTWSKY3 (39,000 miles) - $3,899
BUSINESS
RTWSKY1 (29,000 miles) - $5,679
RTWSKY2 (34,000 miles) - $6,559
RTWSKY3 (39,000 miles) - $7,699
FIRST
RTWSKY1 (29,000 miles) - $7,859
RTWSKY2 (34,000 miles) - $9,079
RTWSKY3 (39,000 miles) - $10,669
So if you ever decide to do an RTW out of SGN, these are fairly up-to-date prices.

It means that you'll pay the France price if you have it ticketed in France ("point of payment"), even if you are initiating the travel from JNB ("point of origin") since the France price is higher. Your best bet would be to have it ticketed in JNB and pay for it there, either on a seperate trip or through a reputable travel agency.
. IF THE SAME FARE BASIS CODE IS NOT OFFERED FROM THE TWO POINTS- THE LOWEST APPLICABLE FARES ARE TO BE COMPARED.

Updated SkyTeam RTW fares?
Anyone know where I can find current fares ex-Central America (Costa Rica, Panama, etc.). WearyBizTrvlr's spreadsheet only shows a notation as the fares being "old".
TIA!

Thanks Gnopps. What currency is that? USD?
Seems quite a bit higher than South Africa, eh? I guess it would be worth it to buy the ticket down in JNB if I can find an agent.
I don't suppose you can see ex-Kinshasa (FIH) fares? KQ and AF fly there so it ought to be possible and I might be going there.

Thanks. Yes there seems to be a huge price difference between Kenya and SA. Well worth making the trip down to JNB I suppose.

The Y RTWSKY3 is $2969 in JNB, $3249 in LON, $4591 in NYC, $4481 in PAR, $3406 in SGN and $3468 in HKG. So, yes, LON seems to be a pretty decent place to buy one.

Hey everyone!!
I'm a Mexican student in Britain, working for the summer in India. I've read FT for a lot of time but rarely talk. Now I need a bit of advice.
I booked an RTWSKY4 on the following route: LHR-CDG-OSL (land) LED-MXP-CDG (stop) MAA (land) BOM-ICN-NRT (stop) MEX (stop) ATL-LHR
The following AF segments were booked by some AF person I'm HATING on class L:
LHR-CDG
CDG-OSL
MXP-CDG
and most importantly CDG-MAA
My FFP (AM Club Premier) does not accrue any mileage for AF L tickets and I got absolutely nothing. This flight was my key for becoming Skyteam Elite for the rest of my RTW and for a MAD-MEX in December. I really need the Elite status for the extra baggage allowance (had to move out of school and also have three months of stuff with me!). AM also does not allow award upgrades, and Elite was my only hope for a 16-hour NRT-MEX in Biz.
Now, I'm under the impression RTWSKY4 on AF must be booked on either Class T or W. Why these people booked on L I don't understand (AF UK handled my RTW in a pretty incompetent manner, with most operators having no idea of what it was about and me having to explain. I spent a fortune on phonecalls).
I'm trying to convince AM to credit me the miles. My plan is to show them I should have been booked on T/W and get my miles. For this I've been instructed to send a fax to the supervisor at Club Premier. So,
can you give me an updated screen output of RTW rules to send?
Failing that, do you have any suggestions? I'm a bit desperate and short of time. Also a bit disappointed with Skyteam and furious with AF and generally tired of airlines and flying (a very very bad sign!!)
Thanks all
