I forgot to point out all my five rentals were for one single day... I was not thinking at all here! It's for the entire rental period, you're absolutely correct.

Thumbs up I am committed to Sixt

I am committed to Sixt for the following reasons:

1. As an LH SEN I get an automatic Platinum Sixt card
2. As an LH SEN I get a SEN Gold Visa Card which covers my comprehensive insurance when hiring through Sixt.
3. I live in Germany (Sixt's home market)
4. When hiring from Sixt I get the 35% Platinum discount + free insurance (exclusiv) rate.
5. I ALWAYS get bumped, as a regular hirer (I'd qualify for gold or plantinum most years as I don't own my own car) I know the guys at FRA zentrum and they just give stuff away to me (or so it feels).

I've had bad experiences 2/2 with Sixt AMS and mediocre with Sixt STN 2/2 but LHR has always been 2/5 fine or 3/5 really good.

If I had to complain about one thing, its their lack of 'on airport' parking or out-of-hours opening times last time I had to drop a car on a one way at Thrifty (do a runner) and call Sixt LGW from AMS and tell them the car was in their competitors car park because I wasn't going to drop it in Redxxxx? and get a taxi to the airport for 25 quid just because their helpdesk claimed they were 'at' the airport. The LGW was used to this though

Okay, what would the XDAR (or XXAR) class cars be in Germany, especially Frankfurt? So far, I've heard of Audi A8 4.2. I am hoping at least some of them would be a turbodiesel in Frankfurt because I'm driving all the way to Paris and with gas now 1.50 per litre in France ($1.85 a litre or $7.00 a gallon) I am far more inclined to ask for a turbodiesel.

Dunno but they do have A8's, got one once to go to the UK, unf, broke down (computer...) on the return leg.

They're very flexi in town, not so sure about airport (I doubt it from what I've seen).

Guess your status should help

When I log in www.sixt.de - I use the SixtExpress to log in using my platinum card. Does EVERYBODY get: Raten fr LOYALTY PROGRAMS 3

I often wondered if Ameniti members get PROGRAMS 4 whilst the real frequent renters get PROGRAMS 1? Does everybody get PROGRAMS 3? Does that simply mean it's "Platinum?"

I only got it because I'm 1K with United. There's no mention of Ameniti or even United 1K anywhere on the website.

I also used www.sixt.fr with the Platinum Card, but I found it much cheaper to use www.sixtusa.com and not use the Platinum Card! It pays to look at all Sixt websites and do comparison shopping.

The new "S" has been in Germany for only a few months. You can try to call them directly in Frankfurt.

The NEW (2006) S-Class arrived Sept. 24, 2005 at the German dealers show room. The German Sixt website doesn't show the NEW "S" (yet) for rental ... but you can lease it (long term)

It seems Sixt is no longer putting XDAR (S-Class, 7-Series, or A8) on the website.. even after I logged in with my Platinum number and it showed much lower rates, but I don't see the XDAR class anymore. I am still pretty sure there are XDAR class in FRA.
