It helps if you call them directly in the airports. What airport are you flying to? I can give you the number.

BTW probably we shouldn't arrange a lounge meeting but an autobahn meeting next time

Cheers

The person I spoke with said that the only way to make a reservation with Sixti, is through the website.

I tried to dial the 09001-25 25 55 number above and I kept getting either a fast busy or this number is unavailable. How would I dial this number? 011-49-09001-25 25 55? 011-49-9001-25 25 55? I tried both those ways.

Ah, yes, Sixti is only through the website. Believe it or not, but the website's actually good with availability. If it doesn't show up as available, then it's really not available. With Sixt (not Sixti), the cars are not pre-paid so people can be a no-show sometimes. There's more flexibility.

In fact, I have never seen a Sixti car in FRA. I guess they deliberately keep very few cars there! There's also mileage caps, and the car has to be clean when it's dropped off. They WILL nitpick over every single scratch, ding, and dents on the car.

If you want only Sixt, then the number I provided is good. Sixti has only three sizes, up to intermediate. Don't expect luxury or even premium cars. Also, their cars are all flashy with "Sixti" covered all over it. Free advertising for them, you rent it really cheap, it's a win-win.

That number works only if you're in Germany, hence the charges. If you were out of Germany, there's no way they can charge you 0.62 per minute.

Do you want Sixti or Sixt? Sixti is cheaper, but far more restrictive.

I wanted Sixti. But, after you told me what they do, "There's also mileage caps, and the car has to be clean when it's dropped off. They WILL nitpick over every single scratch, ding, and dents on the car." I don't think I am so interested anymore. I will be happy to deal w/ Sixt.

If it's not clean, I think they charge you a bit... it's much like www.easycar.co.uk - peeling off the huge orange "EasyCar" on the car can net a 100 penalty! Cleaning the car was 10, I think.

If you're doing weekend rental, Sixt has great weekend rates.

All not true! I have had Sixti several times ... You better read their website. I have also rented Sixt. Sixt Platinum prices are more or less like Sixti's.

It's all wrong! Are you one of the 'Gebrueder Grimm', Hans-Christian Andersen or even Baron von Muenchhausen...?
BTW Sixti is at terminal 2 at FRA .. and there is also one of the Sixt FRA stations.
All cars are in a very good shape, no flashy with "Sixti" covered all over it
I had a Mondeo Diesel and A a Volvo S40 - went til Italy with them!

Added: I believe some of the Smarts have flashy "SIXTI" on them

Ja,ja.......... First: Not all is wrong! Why fly with ryan air(sixti) when u can fly buisness-class with Lufthansa(sixt) for the same rate?Maybe you have to pay 10 euros more, but you will get a much better car and you will have a better service at sixt.
Sixti isnt realy made for buisness-travellers, better for students who wants to visit their parents at weekend. And it is right that most cars of sixti are flashy covered. I live in germany and see these "vehicles" every day. There are several other disatvadvantages when you rent at sixti.
