I went to exchange two of the shoes I purchased as part of this offer. Was just looking to exchange for a larger shoe size. I asked the store to just let me do an exchange and not issue it as a return as I didnt want it to affect the online purchase, to which they said no problem. Of course they asked for the online receipt and I provided that to them. Went home and saw the email that they issued a return. They issued a return for the online purchase and a purchase for the in-store exchange. This made sense but Im still kicking myself because I think I put my pending points in jeopardy.

My return window ends tomorrow, Jan 3rd. Im thinking I need to return both pairs of shoes if I dont get the 250x points on them.

Has anyone done an in-store exchange and didnt get their Avios clawed back? Thank you, folks. Learning a lot from all of you.

I think your return window ended today; Feb 2. January had 31 days.

Is anyone else in the same boat of the transactions not showing in the Purchase History of the account?
I called BA, gave them my missing Avios case number as it has been over 3 weeks. They have no record of the missing Avios claim and can't see the case. Great.

Yes. I'm in the same boat. I'm going to return my order today. While I do think eventually I could win this, it's not going to be worth the intense level of hassle considering that BA Shopping hasn't responded, and I've sent them everything they've requested; BA twitter told me they'd look into it weeks ago and I never heard back. I did keep screenshots, but like I said, since it's not showing in purchase history, it seems like a majorly uphill battle compared to those for whom the order at least tracked properly. Sigh. Oh well.

Did you happen to take any screen shots which would show you came to the KS webpage via the BA shopping portal?

Just an update for data point.

I lost the associated pending points for the exchanged shoes. This was reflected in the BA portal this morning. The only upside to this is my return window was extended 30 days so I can still return it if I so choose. Hard lesson!

Sorry to hear. I wonder if they would have done an exchange for you at, say, 60 days.

Probably not. The store asked to see the date of my purchase before proceeding with the exchange. I dont think they would have processed it if I was already outside of the 30 days.

Nope, JetBlue still at 2x points. Sent 3 separate e-mails about incorrect points amount pending, no response.

That sucks I am sorry. I wonder if they had to do it as a return and then new purchase or if they chose to do it that way to get commission on the "new purchase". Either way it sucks, sorry to hear.

If I were you, since you have another 30 days, I would appeal the decision with the BA estore, explain what happened show proof that you simply exchanged for a diff size and see what they say. Worth a shot.

That store lead was a little too excited to help me with the exchange. Should have ran out the door right then and there. 😂 I found out later that the store was aware of the avios situation. I wonder how many people came in and returned their items after they saw 4x.

Good idea. Ill appeal and see if it goes anywhere. Thank you for the tip.

Lol.
Got $11,000 of purchases in through shopping portal.
Screen recorded everything.

1/8: Submitted missing Avios claim on shopping.ba.com [email protected] (to date never got a response)
1/30: Called BA Flying Club to open a case for missing avios

Email from BA today:Thank you for contacting British Airways Club to claim Avios with BA Avios eStore, it's nice to hear from you.

I have been in contact with our partner and they have confirmed that your purchase is not eligible to collect Avios, so we are, regrettably unable to credit your account.

If you have any queries about your order, we'd suggest you contact BA Avios eStore directly.

I do appreciate that this in not the answer you were hoping for, and I am sorry for the disappointment caused.

So the purchase never even tracked/showed pending? Any browser add-ons or privacy settings activated? If not and you have it screen recorded, I'd raise holy hell. You might try a credit card dispute if you don't make any progress through other avenues, but honestly for 11K legal action really might be warranted. Used strategically, that could be $50k+ worth of avios!
