I went to exchange two of the shoes I purchased as part of this offer. Was just looking to exchange for a larger shoe size. I asked the store to just let me do an exchange and not issue it as a return as I didn’t want it to affect the online purchase, to which they said “no problem”. Of course they asked for the online receipt and I provided that to them. Went home and saw the email that they issued a return. They issued a return for the online purchase and a purchase for the in-store exchange. This made sense but I’m still kicking myself because I think I put my pending points in jeopardy.

My return window ends tomorrow, Jan 3rd. I’m thinking I need to return both pairs of shoes if I don’t get the 250x points on them.

Has anyone done an in-store exchange and didn’t get their Avios clawed back? Thank you, folks. Learning a lot from all of you.
