B6 club in ORD was packed (>90% of seats occupied) when I passed through this afternoon and the line was within one person of being doubled back on itself and out the door.

Hopefully that bodes well of C or E/F reopening sooner rather than later.

EWR

EWR. The sticker on your boarding pass gets you one premium drink and snack (salami, crackers if available) at the bar.

The regular offerings are junkfood heaven if that's your thing. Chips, cookies, ramen noodles, individually wrapped brownies. Only healthy option are the saran wrapped apples.

WOW....ONE snack of salami and crackers?? For the thousands paid for a Polaris ticket? This is really pathetic. At the very least, some form of hot meal could prepared by inflight catering be re-heated in the lounge and provided to a Polaris customer, especially for eastbound evening departures to Europe where people would prefer to sleep vs eat the inflight meal.

Agent at EWR lounge told me they are not opening until Jan 2021

You can get the sticker on both arrival and departure. It was one drink and small package of salami and crackers when I came thru but who knows about other days. Only thing that could be considered hot food were the Ramen noodles. There is hot water available from a coffee pot warmer. I flew Polaris TATL ex-ORD earlier this summer and got even less than this in the ORD UC. Its no secret lounges are not the place to expect to wined and dined these days, only to pass short amounts of time.

IMHO no one should be paying for INTL J on UA right now. Only the lowest upgradeable fare that suits you and plus points. Fly it for the hard product only not the soft product or ground experience.

I asked and was told that Polaris lounge re-opening is a matter of load factors and increase in flights. Completely unknown at this time. As you'd expect.

Got "stickered" at EWR at the beginning of this month. Got the salami and was shown the premium drink list. Champagne is on the list, but "not served at this time".
Ended up getting a glass of red, including a refill.

I got a double of Glenlivet, so no refill for me. Paired well with my Doritos and Kimchi ramen noodles. I miss the Polaris burger and paper airplane..

Da Burger!! YUM!!

Seriously, this is mainly the one reason I would fly - plus other burgers one could eat while in the US... (sad scenario when one is in India...)

When I traveled a lot it, it was worth it. I was at a UC probably 20+ times a year. And the times I had a delay on a connection and was stuck at the airport for 6 hours, having a place to work quietly with an electrical outlet, I think it paid for itself right there.

But now, I just dont see the value proposition.
