Josh Cahill [GoTravelYourWay]
I genuinely like JoshCahill’s review videos on YouTube. He seems like a nice person and not someone annoying like non-stop Dan. What I can’t seem to understand is aside from sharing his trips with us which I appreciate, does he have anything else that helps? A website? An e-mail to share? Does he post on here?
Obviously he likes to share his adventures, but is it purely just a travel vlog? Or does he have anything to offer on advice on the points front?

I am going to go against the grain here and say that I do not like his videos. Not one bit. I get that his reviews are honest, but he likes to play the victim. For instance, he had issues with an Air Canada flight and ended up getting comped. He still published his video with a clickbait/sensationalist title, making the airline look bad to anyone who didn't click to watch the video. He comes across as highly entitled and doesn't respect the privacy of other passengers or the crew. You can guarantee a bad review if he is told to stop filming.
I prefer to watch Noel Phillips. He is a small Youtuber from the UK and just loves flying. His videos are balanced and he throws a few crazy challenges in.

Regarding his instance on AC and MH, id chalk it up to bad luck. How would you feel if you’re making a trip report filming, and the crew are nasty and tell you how it’s going to be? Obviously he was in the right if someone from the upper echelon of AC profusely apologized and upgraded him.
What I find most interesting is his accent. He’s German but he lived in Australia or something? At first I thought he was Scandinavian or Dutch. His accent sounds very much like a Dutchman speaking English. But then learned he was German, but that’s not a German accent? So where did he pick that up from?

My exposure to him has been entirely negative. Specifically, it was a largely unhinged rant complaining about Air China, and how it was outrageous that he was denied entry.
It later came out that he had failed to comply with the terms of a previous Chinese visa and lied about it. I find no value in bloggers who intentionally mislead and believe that rules only apply to others, not them.

On a some of his videos, you see him with his boarding pass and his real name is "W[...] / ALJOSCHA".

He is constantly talking about how “real” and honest he is, and in my experience, people who feel the need to say that on a regular basis are usually the opposite. Josh beefs with too many airlines, and I’ve concluded that he is the common denominator when it comes to all of the trouble he encounters. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he has quite the sense of entitlement when the camera isn’t recording.

I hear what everyone is saying and his whole drama with the China thing, MH, and now AC does make him look like a little entitled spoiled brat. But I’ve never picked that up from him at all in any of his videos, and he does not come off this way to me.
He’s very respectful of those around him. He’s very pleasant, upbeat, and tries to make everyone feel comfortable and goes out of his way to blur or ensure they’re totally not included if they don’t want to be. Despite him being in a public space he doesn’t have to bend over backwards to just be a nice person. So I think we need to give credit where credit is due. He’s never come across as overly needy, or entitled ever. He’s never done anything specific to anyone that was mean or vindictive. Even when he was being the victim of atrocious behavior he’s always taken the high road. What I didn’t get about the AC episode was why the FA told him that and if the pilots boarded and said “hey josh whatever you need let us know” why he didn’t confront and ask for their assistance. Since essentially when you’re on a plane for a long duration of time the pilot(s) are the judge, jury, and executioner.
Yes those events were unfortunate, but I don’t think they should define him or that he set them up. I’ve had some pretty appalling treatment and series of unfortunate circumstances occur all very near to each other to me. That doesn’t mean I’m entitled or nasty or spoiled. Snit happens in life...

He does seem to moan and complain and draw out drama in a lot of his travels.
Thank god at least he’s not non-stop Dan

I like his videos; he's funny and relatable, but I can't seem to figure out his Aussie/German accent

I think it's great that Josh blurs out the faces when asked. Though, I think it should be a requirement that they blur all faces unless they have permission as these are technically commercial videos they are making on planes. In fact, some vloggers like Dan are actually filming commercials in the cabin for products they are trying to hawk from sponsored deals. I wonder if the airline would do anything if someone reported someone like non-stop dan for commercial filming without seeking permission prior to flying.
