Josh Cahill is on a roll and enjoying his 15 min of fame… strange that QR would even follow up on a bad review of Y

The problem with all of these video-bloggers is their ego has become bigger than the airlines.

They all believe that people exclusively choose to fly an airline based on their reviews and that the entire planet is just waiting for their reviews.

I think, whilst there's probably some truth in the story, that Cahill is probably exaggerating or making up most of it in an effort to gather even more viewers.

AFAIAC, all of the vloggers are interchangable. I watch the videos to see the seats and service, not see them preening nor hear their babbling.

I guess it's fair to say I consume premium cabin vlogs the same way I consume porn: I'll watch any of 'em, I keep the volume down, and there's a lot of fast-forwarding and skipping around.

Never seen someone be so dramatic about everything. Between his MH flight to London, him being an idiot on China with his visa, and now this. It’s like he loves to create drama, and I don’t doubt for a second he makes stuff up and exaggerates.

I don’t take his stuff seriously.

Still nothing compared to the drama he made when he wanted to walk to Shanghai in 2009-10.

Didn't see the link posted (although I'm assuming this is what oliver2002 is aluding to in the post above), but this came up on my news feeds... Haven't seen Josh's side of it (news articles often misrepresent something whether on purpose or not) nor have I looked into Qatar's side of it...

That they're arguing about whether he's german or australian and that it takes so much of the discussion is just sad.

(I'm kinda torn about the incidents section though)

The meltdown in PEK (?) when he couldn't enter the country for lack of chinese visa (and spent quite a bit of time in transit on the floor before being sent out) should probably also count as an 'incident'?

The thing is, a lot of his incidents are totally on him. We really only get to hear his side told by him. I'm pretty sure there is more to these than he points out. PEK was just one, but there are so many more. And when he says "and a lot of cabin crew support me", I have a hard time believing him. Surely some would have spoken out by now.

Even just his side, he admitted the PEK incident was because he overstayed his visa previously. He is a giant baby that takes no responsibility for his own actions.

I would say he's German and has lived in Australia at some point in his life (whether he obtained Australian citizenship is not known) and struggled to learn a proper Aussie accent. Apparently, there is a park near Sydney Airport called Cahill Park where presumably you can do plane spotting. Perhaps while living in Australia, he often went there to watch planes and thus adopted the surname "Cahill" for youtube branding purposes? In some videos, his real name is shown as WENDHOLDT/ALJOSCHA on his boarding pass.

Apparently he went to China again (can't teach this dog new tricks)... didn't look into the new video but the thumbnail says he was detained again.

Honestly I could care less. I can't stand him. But my point was the biggest discussion about him on that wiki was his name/citizenship and not his shennanigans and why he constantly gets into them.
