He's been posting some (largely) gushing videos of Indian airlines these days...seems to have moved to Colombo as well. These videos seem to be wildly popular with the Indian Youtube crowd. I watched a couple after someone sent me a video of him reviewing Star Air (a new regional airline in India) and besides the jarring accent I didn't find anything very off-putting...comes across as a reasonably sincere chap and more interestingly he doesn't always fly front cabin so I guess more relatable content for a broader audience.

Sorry but as a native English speaker, I find his English to be really annoying. I live, and work with Germans in Bavaria.
Its obvious hes a native German, and was taught English by an Australian. When he goes out of his way to try to use Australian slang and pronounce English words with an Australian accent its really annoying.

85% of the time his reviews about an airline are negative. Either the staff are cold the food is bland or theres a supposed safety problem.
Does this guy ever realize that most travel (no matter what class) is going to be underwhelming?

His travel history was always going to be problematic in terms of getting a US visa...but why does he need one anyway? Maybe because he intends to work in the US...which was also always going to be problematic.

AFAIR he also got stuck in PEK for multiple days after failing to get a TWOV since he had previously violated Chinese visa rules. He made a huge media event out of it documenting his agony... I doubt the US consular officers go into so much details when checking visa applications but I'm sure some of that flowed into their decisions.

One digital nomad acquaintance recently arrived in South Africa with only one blank page left in his passport. He was denied entry because you are meant to have 2 blank pages when you arrive. He threw a fit. But rules are rules - and most are enforced at the discretion of the immigration official you our your paperwork ends up in front of. Whether you like it or not.

Josh Cahill claiming (at 55s seconds in) in his latest YouTube video that Turkmenistan Airlines don't have a website.
Well, they have. It's the airline's name under their country's top level tm domain. You'll also find the link on wikipedia. On that site, they even link to an official app on Apple's App Store. You can even go visit country's civil aviation authority (CAA), itself hosted on a gov government subdomain, and find a link to the airline's official website.
Yes, there's a couple of third-party websites around that use the airlines name, and yes, it does seem indeed seem hard to book a flight with them, since they don't seem to do online ticket sales for international flights. But the site under the .tm country domain seems legit enough to me. Does take away a bit of the mystique alluded to in the video. So much in fact that Josh (or his team) - rather than owning up to it - feel they need to delete comments on YouTube about it. And boy are they quick on it! Quicker than the internet censorship regime in Turkmenistan.
(Can't post links here for not having reached the minimum threshold of posts - and not going to bother)
