The link you're talking about says when the travel to cities begins, not when you can BOOK those flights.
For international bookings, only HOU, ATL, BOS, BWI, MCO, or PIT can serve as the origination/destination airport.
All other cities require separate bookings for "positioning flights."

Instead of just actually answering the question. Thanks for clearing up the confusion that probably could have been avoided with a more insightful reply earlier.

I'll make sure to take your ignorance into consideration before posting in the future.

The use of 'wondering' was more sarcastic than anything else, but I guess that's lost on such a condescending poster such as yourself. And I didn't say I know what WN is talking a out. More like if that is what they meant then they need to quit mixing up their terms.
Hell, I don't even know what your point in this thread is other than to defend WN's use of a term that they want to utilize for two completely separate concepts. Or perhaps you just feel like being argumentative. Especially in light of quite a few other posters in this thread also being critical of GK's misleading statements.
Discussing this any further with you is just wasted effort on my part.

Perhaps not to the internet tough guy who's apparently put him/herself in charge of English grammar on this board, but who cares.

The growth rate of 24 new destinations in the past 3 years is not on fresh WN metal; they did not initiate even half of these 'new' destinations on their own (I can only think of DCA, which they purchased from AA?). This number is no doubt skewed heavily because of the acquisition of Air Tran which began 3 years ago, as the majority of new dots on the map have come through the purchase; through the taking over of the AT stations.
But of course, you want to pick on the 'qualifier'. Is that all you want to do? Pick a fight? Your tone on this board is sad.

I get where you're coming from even if someone else doesn't. The language seems to suggest they see the new n/s destinations from DAL as new destinations.
But in the end, I just don't see it happening. I'm sure they'll end up adding some; but 50? Yeah, right. IMO, that's simply a pipe dream.

Pardon me if you've finally changed your tone from "GK is a liar" to "let's see if this can actually work," but if you're going to do that, you should at least start with the conditions set by the statement ("over several years") rather than your preconceived conditions for failure ("in short order").

Also, contributing a worthless, no-content reply to a thread you deem that "theres [sic] no need for" is rather ironic, no?

2) I think the moderators can decide whether there is the need for a thread (I do *think* this one should be merged with the one to which I linked - but I am not a moderator and neither are you).
3) I'm glad for you that you have never ever had a beverage or snack or visited the lavatory on a flight less than 3 hours. Unfortunately, I have done each of these on flights less than 3 hours (and sometimes they really helped the flight be more enjoyable for me).

1) What airport store sells captive passengers drinks and snacks for $1.99? I generally bring an empty refillable container for water from airport drinking fountains and my own less - sodium - laden snack, but I wouldn't expect $1.99 would get me a non - drinking fountain beverage (which one can't bring past the 3-1-1 TSA) and snack once in the airport (and one may not realize one would want a drink and snack before leaving for the airport). Snacks are something WN offers and we are simply trying to understand the details of the policy. Would you post a comment in the AA/UA/DL forum about no need for determining upgrade priority because somehow, some way you manage to get to your destination in a coach seat?

Sorry. Part was sarcasm. Part was plan ahead.

Why are you starting yet another thread on the exact same topic you started earlier?
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/south...ight=danielonn
You certainly received enough feedback in that thread - why do you feel the need to solicit more? If WN causes you so much angst, fly another carrier. But don't clutter up this forum with multiple threads on the same issue. Of course, you could always threaten to sue them (after all, you said your time is money to you), as you've threatened to do with other travel providers. Your act is getting real old, real fast.

I have a 6:30 AM flight from SJC this Wednesday and on more than one occasion I have taken an early flight from SJC and am waiting in line at 4:50ish for the counters to open.
5 AM rolls around and I see the agents drinking their coffee and going to the back and barely has the computers up and running. The time which bags needs to be dropped off by is 90 minutes before the flight. I think Southwest should open their counters at 4:30 AM just like Alaska as sometimes the lines get long both at the counters and through security.
How come do I see these agents drink coffee at 5 AM and when I tell them they should be open now as per their website they roll their eyes and say it will be just a minute. Well that minute turns into 5:05-5:10.
They very well know there are 6:30 AM flights that need to be checked in especially with families taking their entire kitchen sink.
If this were my business they would be fired if I saw my staff not open when the stated hours are.
If this happened once then fine but two and three times man there needs to be better management.
It just so happens the 6:30 AM flight is the one with a one stop no plane change which I prefer and gets me to Albuquerque at 10:55 AM vs 2:00 PM.
I have called into the Customer Service Line at 5:00 AM and told them the counters were not open and a line is forming. Their response was the desks must be open at 5. To which I responded then someone better call down to the Station Manager and get things rolling. There were no computer outages nada. I do my part to arrive at 4:50 so why can't they do their part and begin to get the computers online at 4:45 AM? and test to be sure everything is working.
Even the kiosks were not up at 5 AM it said"Closed Please See Agent". Don't they have a timestamp as to when they open and close. I sen them a Tweet to tell them that they should be strict about opening on time unless there is a true problem with the computer.
But no I hear the agents laughing and taking their time or just too tired to see that there is a line and they need to be open at 5 on the nose. Well if you don't want to work early mornings then find another job. Alaska Airlines is already open and their passengers are lining up at security so why can't Southwest open at 4:30 AM so people have time to get a coffee and breakfast.
Have other FTers seen this mess at SJC with the late opening of the counters? Other people in line have commented. I have even in a nice way said"Rise and Shine Get the Computers Online cause its Checkin Time" and still no response.
What would you do in this situation? I mean I have not missed one flight yet but that is saying I may not. Those 15 minutes that I could have been through security and in the lounge or getting breakfast is worth money to me. I arrive early so I can be one of the first to check in. Once I even arrived at 4:40 and was one of the first in line.
Curbside is no help as there is a long line and they are not even open then.

Someone up-thread asked if you have ever missed a flight at SJC because of the ticket counter not opening at exactly 5:00AM. I must have missed your response.

Nope, not really. But I do recognize that your stress level would be much lower had you been able to access the lounge you espoused in this recent gem:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...ne-lounge.html
With a little more time, I could dig up the threads where you:
1) Suggested faking the use of a wheelchair to board WN flights before other PAX
2) Recommended using the WN elite security line to avoid waiting, even though you have no status
3) Pondered suing a cruise line because there was water on the floor of the ship (a ship...water...whouda thunk?)
4) Considered suing an airport because you were stranded on a golf cart mid-terminal
5) And, of course, expected AA to provide door-to-door VIP service to Hawaii for your birthday (again, with no status)
Not to pile on, but the above threads should give readers of this forum a good sense of your credibility. Or lack of same. Maybe if you visit your suggested in-airport nightclub the evening before your next flight, you won't get to the (closed) counter so early. The two-story chocolate fountain sounds doable, though. Maybe put it near the WN counters? Would just need to slightly modify the WN staff morning checklist. Kiosks on? Done. Chocolate fountain pouring generously? Done. Staff assigned to crack jokes in the private WN lounge (yet another of your posts)? Done. How do you think of this stuff?

I'm sorry, but after a few hundred Evolve flights (some of them cross-country) with none of the discomfort so many here are talking about, apparently this is the "One simple fix" some need:
