Hi
As SK now has reduced points so dramatically for low fare tickets at least my feeling is to claim all points. Before I basically only claimed missing basic points...
I have two uncredited car rentals from Hertz in Nov-2004 and Jan-2005 (= 1000 extra points). Both rentals are eligble for EB points as they required the use of the EB card, which EB customer service has confirmed. I have once sent copies of the agreements to Thailand for credit, but haven't heard ONE word...
Two weeks ago I saw this new "claim missing points"-feature on sas.se where you can enter the car rental agreement number, the pickup-date as well as the EB-number. Great feature (I thought)!
The next day I got automated replies telling me that the agreement number and pickup-date didn't match... I double checked this and faxed in copies of the e-mail replies and the agreements. Two days later I got new automated replies saying that the pickup-date doesn't match the agreement number. IU guess they didn't read the fax I sent them
I have called EB customer service and they say I must send the copies to Thailand or talk directly to Hertz and haven't heard anything about the new features on the web...
Does anyone have a tip how to handle this? Write a formal letter to the managment of SAS or Hertz maybe? But to which address? Have anyone had the same problem? Calling Hertz in Sweden refers to SAS EuroBonus for these matters.

Remember that the retro registration site for Hertz is run by Hertz themselves. It therefore wouldn't surprise me if it is actually Hertz that handles the claim and not SAS. Did you fax the information to Hertz or SAS?
I've never dealt with Hertz claims myself, but with RICA Hotels (wonder if they can ever get any credits right?
), and it is always RICA themselves that handles the claims and retroregistration, and SAS are usually clueless about any of it!
I would contact Hertz about all this as it is them that has to let SAS EB know about your rental and hence point earning activity.

I had to retro-claim points for an Avis rental last summer. I sent my papers in and nothing happened. So after a couple of weeks I called EB and he promised to look in to it, two days later the points were there.

I called Hertz in Sweden today and they had no clue who to contact and gave me a number to Ireland (which handles claims). The number was, however, not in use anymore...
I will fax them again and make it very obvoius that I want contact information or a personalized answer. Then I will contact SAS EB again.

I'm currently having a problem getting my EB points for an Avis rental in December 2004. In the past, it always posted automatically. I have used the "register points" engine repeatedly at avis.com and it brings up my rental record with no problem, I submit the request, but the points never turn up.
When I contacted Avis customer service, they just tell me to contact SAS EB. It is very frustrating to waste so much time chasing 500 points, but equally frustrating to forfeit them.

I had several rentals that were not being credited to my account last year as I had entered my EB# incorrectly in my Hertz profile. I found a link to the Hertz retroactive registration at the United website, and modified it for SK:
http://www.hertz.com/partners_08/retro.jsp?prog=SK
I filled in and submitted the form (you need the rental agreement # and the rental dates), and received an email response within one day. The points were successfully added to my EB account.
