With Airbus reducing their output (as announced this week) most of the deliveries will be postponed/deferred anyway. Unless of course some customers go bankrupt and cancel orders...

The reduction at Airbus is to mitigate airlines asking to delay delivery. Those airlines who don't ask for a delay will get their birds as scheduled. Among other Easy jet has asked to have 24 birds due delivery this year and next year delayed till 2022 or later

Painting has now been completed, and it seems that SE-DMO is correct, it says DMO on the nose wheel door.

First SAS A321LR landed in CPH yesterday

I was out taking pictures of the first Airbus A321LR for SAS. Jarl Viking or SE-DMO did arrived at 16:47 yesterday after a short delivery flight from XFW.

Here are a picture from the touch down:

More can be seen here: https://insideflyer.dk/nyt-fly-i-gaa...-billeder-her/

I just wonder where it will have its first route. Any good guess?

I guess BOS. Or EWR, IAD for flights which do not fill up the 330/340s right now?

Actually the a/c will come in handy for SAS when struggling to fill the 330/340/359 with pax (but obviously, very low cargo capacity which may make it unprofitable anyway)

22 business class seats (these seats will alternate between a 2-2 and 1-1 configuration)
12 premium economy seats (these seats will be in a 2-2 configuration)
123 economy seats (these seats will be in a 3-3 configuration)

Quite nice...

Nice pics herro!

Wonder if this will go into storage or will start training crews on this. Probably not a good idea to introduce to US right now, as cargo is the main revenue source (4 x higher than pre-covid).

I am booked to Boston in May on A321LR in C, but anybodys guess if that will happen.

It was supposed to service CPH-BOS, but with the current travel restrictions that's not going to happen any time soon. Instead the aircraft will be deployed on various intra-European services until such time it can plough lonely furrows across the Atlantic skies. The only thing keeping SAS transatlantic services going these days is freight, and for that the A321 is far from presenting a viable solution.

Do you have a source for that?

The seating config. is not suited for European traffic. And SAS has no shortage of capacity.

I have two biz seats on this bird on July 2nd ARN-EWR. Not sure where to sit. Nothing on seatguru of course. Daytime flight so I wouldn't mind sitting next to my companion. Online seat chart looks funky:

2-2
1-1
2-2
1-1
2-2
