Recently I did put a bid from PE to C IAD - CPH of 430e. The final minimum bid was 510 so I didn't get it. On the way back CPH - IAD from PE to C I put 410e and got the seats (traveling with my wife). The C cabin wasn't full, in the mini cabin there were two seats left and in the main C cabin I could see at least 4 or 5 vacant seats (it was on a A350 both ways).

I put in a big upgrade from standard economy (U) to premium economy a few weeks ago. The flight isn't for over 25 hours, but I noticed that in my manage booking the booking class is showing as A and the ticket type as Premium (i have a layover flight and the 1st leg that I did not bid an upgrade for is still showing as U standard economy). I also went back to original ticket confirmation and saw that the original flight was U class. Does SAS always show the new fare code whenever a bid is placed or is this an indication that the bid will likely be accepted?

They normally don't change the booking class, they just reseat the passenger.

my upgrade to premium economy cleared at T-24.5... unfortunately we are unable to select seats and the agent on SAS's Swedish number was unable to help me either. if the manage booking does not give me an option for seat selection or checkin, there is no other way to select a seat? fortunately my companion and I are sitting together albeit in the middle section...

Was flying ORD-BOS-CPH-TRD with the first leg on DL and the rest on SK. Had bids entered for BOS-CPH well in advance. Seconds after checking in via DL for the first leg I received an email stating that I had lost the bidding for BOS-CPH. App said the same and there was no option to enter a new bid despite it being more than 24 hours from the BOS-CPH leg and EF showing C6 Y9.

Emailed the EBD support deck but haven't heard back yet.

Good information, thanks! So seems like best to wait with check-in with connection flights operated by another airline then.

Minimum bid of 270€ Economy to Premium rejected at T-6h15 for IAD-CPH for me as EBG.
Looks like all seats in both classes occupied.

I have a flight CPH-BOS in a month. The minimum bid for upgrade from Premium to Business is 450 EUR. I read in this tread about a boost for Eurobonus members. Does this also apply for ST Elite+ members?

Return flight IAD-CPH:
Placed minimum bid of 930 USD for Economy to Business as EBG. Rejected at T-24h15.
Travel companion on another booking was offered live bidding starting at 980 USD, but I was no longer allowed to bid.
At the checkin counter, they were selling upgrades, 3 seats left, for 950 USD or 50000 points. Got to spend my points. Cabin went out full.

This is good data!
Thanks - I am flying LAX-CPH and monitoring seats for Business until my departure.
Currently it's 60% full.
My bid is "medium" so hoping to get to live bid if not selected....

How do you know it's 60% full? If you're looking at seats available in Business on SAS website keep in mind people like me don't pay for advance seat assignment so actual available seats could be significantly less.

There are people on this forum whom I believe are in the travel business that have access to actual seats available on a particular flight. If you want an accurate count perhaps post and see if anyone replies. Or call SAS and see if they will tell you.

1 more question: when I bid for an upgrade and the bid will be accepted, will I get the miles and XP from business or originally booked premium?
