ARN >> CPH - Bid the minimum 1000sek - accepted. CPH>>SFO - Bid 6000sek - accepted no bidding at all...despite a zeroed out flight due to the KLM mess this past week...... not back for a cheap flex ticket and all in about 1200USD oneway for J class ARN>>CPH>>SFO..... |
I bid 1€ more than min. bid on GVA-ARN and it was accepted (Flex ticket and SK Silver).
Sadly I was unable to order a special meal between the time of confirmation (1145) and the 24h before departure cutoff (1215). I mainly wanted to upgrade for the extra space and because I‘m planning to enjoy a couple of drinks. Let‘s see if the meal or parts of it will be suitable for me tomorrow or not. Anyway I am looking forward to something new! And I am impressed how quickly the extra points posted already! |

Minimum bid at some point was 140€, but dropped to 110€ few weeks back. I bid 111€.

No luck at t24, flight went to live bidding with a high bid of 135 000 points for BKK-CPH
Bids below 60000 are weak 60000-94999 are medium and 95 000 and above are strong... H0w insane is this 🫣🤣 People on this flight must really value sk J 🤣 I am flying Y it seems, while I have a few hundred k sk points I dont see the point in paying 10k per hour myself 7J seats seem to be available |

Imagine spending 1,2 million EB points for a roundtrip J ticket on SK, even by completing that competition they had a year ago you would not even afford it. |

I have seen the same insanity on CPH-HND and HND-CPH as well, having failed multiple bids trying to go from Plus/Premium to J.

The upgrade window just closed and while it was C5 and Y 5 before this its now C6Y6 and looks like I am sitting in Y and stuck with 200k miles I really wish the SK EB would be fully merged into FB fast before my SK miles expire 🤣🤣 |
So now I got the official email your bids rejected for both Premium and J, do they still process upgrades at the check in? There are still 2 seats in J and 6 in Premium according to EF 🤣 if they do can you still use EB points? Sorry its been a long time since I actively flew SK

I upgraded PY --> J at check-in for a MIA-CPH flight about three weeks ago, it cost 35.000 points. My upgrade bid was cancelled without warning at T-24 (no explanation given by SAS), but I could see there was still decent availability in J, so I just asked at the counter.

good to know theres hope, I am half tempted to ask AY if there is award availability on their morning flight instead 🤣🤣
Managed to get a PE window seat for 25000points, or could have paif 340€ but chose the semi worthless points. Again I bed 30000 for the PE upgrade so why deny it to sell it cheaper.... Oh well, heres to hoping for no more sk flights for me in 2026 🤣🤔 |
I have a flight CPH-JFK-SEA on Jan 29th. I am booked on economy, and SK is asking for 1250 USD(min bid) for CPH-JFK leg. the JFK-SEA is on Delta. I am a delta platinum, so good chance it will upgraded.
What should I do, wait for min bid to fall or just fly economy. On my recent journey from SFO to CPH, economy was almost less than 30% full, folks were sleeping on three seats. Business was full with only 1 seat available. I dont mind economy CPH-JFK if its empty/ Anyone with access to Expert Flyer want to get me an idea of load. |

So what you can do is search for 9 PAX on search engine and see if Eco/Premium/Biz is an option. (That shows if 9 or more seats available) 2. Check seat selection (This only gives an indication of potential maximum seats left in that cabin) 3. Combine 1 & 2 and then you got a range :) Another option is to know someone working at SAS, maybe a Revenue Manager that has access to load factor on each flight :) |

You can get same info from SAS own search engine. I don't think ExpertFlyer has more info if it's more than 9 seats available in a certain bookingclass.
