Recently redeemed e-rewards from 2 accounts (UK), to the same loyalty program account.

Entered a different phone number for each account, and both transfers went through ok. Hope I don't get deactivated but looking like business as usual so far

josmon10 May 26, 2017 2:16 am

I've done this several times lately, and so far so good. I'd say that once you get the miles/points, there's no turning back.

neuromancer May 31, 2017 8:08 pm

Anyone tried using the same phone number for two accounts? Almost tempted to see if it works :D

good luck with that .. but some reported above using a German phone number and getting automatically banned. Can't you just use a husband / wife / friend's phone? Sounds safer. :)

I've had the same number on my account and my wife's account with no issues until I went to redeem from both accounts a week ago - it asked for a phone number to send a text or msg to. I did mine ok but when I went to do my wife's it said that phone number was already being used....had to drag out her "emergency" cell phone to make it work.

I use my old UK prepay sim for my UK account now. It costs nothing to receive texts.

diburning Jun 1, 2017 5:29 am

If you have iOS, install the app Swytch. They have a one week free trial and you can get your own UK VOIP phone number.

Worth a look. Thanks for that.

neuromancer Jun 1, 2017 4:28 pm

Well, web-based SMS services don't work, I doubt this will...

Kremmen Jun 3, 2017 9:10 am

I'm sure you've all had the experience of taking half (or more) of a survey and it dumps you out for 25c. Well, a friend recently had a survey exit before even the first question and it credited the full $7.50! So good to see one go the user's way for a change.

Mary2e Jun 3, 2017 9:13 am

Very odd.... I arrived at the airport and within 30 minutes, received an email that I could spend my time waiting doing a survey. Except I no longer have the app installed on my phone. I am signed in to the mobile site since the app no longer works. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think signing out of the mobile site would prevent them from tracking me? Quite honestly, I'm not OK with this at all. I have most location services turned off and well as location advertising.

I received the same ad - wasn't traveling and don't have a laptop - so I think it was just a coincidence :-)

Mary2e Jun 3, 2017 10:07 am

OK... that's good to know :) Thanks

Yes, just coincidence. I got exactly the same e-mail, while I was sitting on my balcony 40km from the nearest airport.

Mary2e Jun 4, 2017 9:18 am

Well, that really was some coincidence. It's not like I'm in the airport more than every few months these days.

A decade ago that happened a lot more often... :)

In fact, waaaaay back I remember that you'd often get $2 or $2.50 for getting kicked off of a survey that was often only $5 or $6 if you completed it. It really incentivized NOT completing surveys for many years.

mirror74 Jun 6, 2017 4:11 am

Now, they have "robot" check before taking first daily survey. Damn annoying

Tilly71 Jun 6, 2017 4:34 am

I think erewards must of been getting hit by fraudsters as Captcha security levels now introduced on every survey.

This is getting worse and worse all the time. I just had the most egregious screening out yet - 91% into a survey about travel and I got the Unfortunately, your responses do not meet the criteria required to fully qualify and complete this study. Your e-Rewards account has been credited the partial credit amount.

Really, e-rewards? It took 91% of your survey to decide I didn't qualify?

I think I'm really done with them now.

neuromancer Jun 6, 2017 1:40 pm

Well, sometimes they have control questions, to see if you read them. "Please select blue". If you fail, it quits with the message you don't qualify. Not to say that this was the case, but happens.

Definitely was not the case, this particular survey didn't have any of those trick questions. I had just finished a question about food and drinks at places I traveled to and poof, disqualified. At 91% completed. Total waste of time.

That has happened to me a few times and after describing the survey in detail via a customer service ticket, I got the full credit amount as an adjustment.

How long does it take for BA and Avios to post? Redeemed on 05/28...still not posted yet.

Used to be very quick : now it seems anywhere between a day or 2 to over a month .Still plenty of time :-)

MDtR-Chicago Jun 9, 2017 11:49 am

Having a ton of problems with the surveys today. Two of them kicked me out for partial credit after half or more of the way thru, and another just kicked me out in the middle with no message at all.

The quality of the surveys themselves seems to be going way down. I had one yesterday I could barely answer because the questions didn't make any sense...

Edit: Offered 12 surveys this morning and only fully qualified on 1.......

Noticing that myself. Suppose it's there loss if the data they get out of it makes no sense...

jamesteroh Jun 13, 2017 9:19 am

I have over $300 in my account (I only use them for Best Buy certs and $50 starbucks cards) and realized I haven't received a survey in over a month and thought maybe the invites were going into spam so logged into the website to find out my account is inactive and it gave me a link to email them and I haven't heard back.

How long should it take me to hear back? And why would my account be deactivated with that much in E-rewards currency when it's only been a month since I've done a survey? I'm going to be really pissed if I spent all the time doing surveys to lose the rewards (and I gave them some pretty detailed info on a couple surveys).

It seems there has been quite a pattern developing, where accounts are deactivated while they hold a significant unredeemed balance.

Anecdotal evidence seems to suggest a good chance of being reactivated if you make a fuss.

wadmak Jun 13, 2017 2:38 pm

Hi all,

Has any of you got their account reactivated BUT can't make any redemptions anyway?

"Please note that your account is now active and you can continue to take part in surveys. However, you can make a redemption once we email you again regarding the mobile verification process."

:-/

It's been a week (and counting...)

I don't understand why my account was deactivated. I've always been honest on the surveys and it isn't like I've gone a long time without answering one.

It pisses me off all the info and time I spend

moe8555 Jun 14, 2017 2:55 pm

Can anyone update whether Accor is still elite qualifying? Sorry if this has been previously discussed, but I've never redeemed for that program before.

as of 2017 it is no longer qualifying

for any canadians out there, aeroplan is now a e-rewards partner although aeroplan points although they are pretty much useless

Steve in Olympia Jun 14, 2017 7:49 pm

I just got a survey that stated it was a follow-up to an earlier survey. It was about credit card reward programs, and focused on Capitol One. A subject near and dear to all of us! The reward was $20 for 20 minutes, but I was finished in 13 minutes, truthfully answering all questions.

Nice. Thank you, erewards.

moe8555 Jun 15, 2017 1:22 am

Now that Accor and IHG are no longer elite qualifying -- are there any programs left that still are?

beachmouse Jun 15, 2017 7:07 am

E-miles (which I think is about to be renamed) transfers have still been posting as IHG EQ for me, and has a few survey opportunities, but its current form is a lot slower earner than e-Rewards

Accor seems to have gone to EQ based entirely on hotel spend.

peter1962 Jun 15, 2017 4:42 pm

Remesh Survey?

Anyone got one of these before? I'm being offerred $120 e-rewards dollars to do a 1 hour survey using a tool called Remesh which seems to be these people www.remesh.ai

Any comments or reviews on doing it?

yes and no. u can still qualify with 60 nights for plat for accor.

with respect to IHG. i earn e-miles so slow that i would take a whole year of earning and still not get status :(

neuromancer Jun 16, 2017 4:55 am

My IHG redemptions this year have turned EQ without me calling (they were not EQ when posted). Don't know what will happen with new transfers, but I'm 1000 points from gold and will definitely do one more transfer soon.
