I've still got all of the airline choices. Hilton remains the sole hotel choice for me, which is how it has been since I first joined, since I joined via an invitation from Honors.

ETA: I see the same airline choices regardless of whether I am logged in or out.

"Glad" to see I am not alone.
So clearly, different people see different partners now, and several of us have lost partners that were previously available....

This happened to my husband's account too. His account activities are pretty slow, like not earning more than $100 in a 12 months period. All his last redemption were to Hilton and one Alaska airlines IIRC.
Now the only airline partner is AA. I dont recall he joined the program via AA.

My own account still has all the airlines and hotels partners. I redeemed to AA,UA,AS & BA, plus Hilton on last house cleaning.

I too have all the usual Airline redemption opptys, including United, Southwest, JetBlue, AA, Alaska, Frontier, Avios, BA, Air France, Etihad, Iberia & Virgin Atlantic.

I just cleaned out my monies for United and it posted within a few days. I was unaffected by the recent closures but still thought it best to redeem and not hold a lot in e-rewards just in case.

beachmouse Oct 20, 2017 10:21 pm

I got in via Delta and the 'all the options' option they gave us after Delta pulled out of the program seems to be sticking. Since IHG is no longer EQ, I'm now crediting to Alaska (ended up with 12K miles with them because of the Virgin merger and figure I might as well build from there) and BA monthly and La Quinta quarterly. I'm also trying to figure out how to add Hertz into that redemption rotation.

Happy Oct 21, 2017 11:37 am

I may email eRewards to ask why husband's account has only AA left. At one point many years ago he somehow had 2 accounts. We called e-Rewards and the rep merged the 2 accounts together. He had all the options ever since, until now. I did not even know when it was changed to AA only set up.

I joined via IHG. For a long time IHG was the only hotel option. However I have seen all hotel options for the past 2 or 3 years.

I've read that the Aer Lingus Aerclub is just derived from avios.com.

Can you make e-rewards Avios redemptions to Aerclub?

My memory sucks (not that it was ever great), but...

wasn't the Hilton redemption option without limits, eg could be used anytime without any waiting period? Now it says once every 60 days...

klanfa Oct 22, 2017 9:03 pm

DP: Choice points post almost instantly.

That's unfortunately correct

That "unlimited redemption" feature for Hilton was for a limited time only, starting January 2017. (That's been noted before on this thread.)

Before that, it was once every 90 days. So 60 days is actually an improvement over the "normal" situation for Hilton redemption. (Most, perhaps all, e-rewards redemptions have limits of this sort.)

Also, as I've posted before, these conditions can actually vary from one user to another. Specific example: some gift cards are redeemable once every calendar quarter for one user, but the same ones are only once every 180 days for another user.

More bad news. I hadn't been aware of that.

At the beginning, redemptions were once every 90 days, then they were unlimited for a limited time. Now I see that it's once every 60 days.

Is there an echo in here? ;)

amanuensis Oct 23, 2017 8:14 am

I'm okay with once every sixty days for Hilton. During the unlimited period, I was able to redeem for almost 100,000 Honors points, but it became a big time sink for me and I needed to slow down anyway to avoid burning out altogether.

I wanted to point out what the redemption time limits have been for me. Other people may have had different time limits.

Tilly71 Oct 23, 2017 11:59 am

To maximise in light of the recent changes in redemption periods you could have two HH accounts running and transfer into each then when needed transfer over to one account. 🤔

I lost all airlines except American about a month ago. I contacted e-rewards by Twitter and specifically asked about United. I was told there was a technical problem with United. After a few weeks of no change I contacted them again by email and today received this message:

"There were some technical issues with the mobile/landline verification section of the website, which prevented members from making any redemptions.
We wanted to let you know that this issue has now been resolved"

Since nothing had changed on my end I immediately responded and just now got this message:

"Based on your enrollment sponsor your account has been updated.
Once the update was updated airlines were removed."

I have no idea what that means.

For some of us, it's usually kind of academic, as we don't accumulate e-rewards "dollars" very fast anyhow. :(

It probably means that you registered through American but due to a glitch, you had all airlines available for redemption. Even though this "glitch" lasted a few years, an update on their end must have fixed it and thus removed all airlines with the exception of AA which was your enrollment sponsor. That's just my guess...

Yes, I believe this is the case. Saw on another website that this is how the program is supposed to work. I think if you sign up through a hotel invitation you get all the airlines. I had all the airlines for so long I don't remember a case of ever having just one. I don't even remember signing up through AA.

Same here for husband's account. I believe he signed up thru NWA so that was how long it was.
Have not gotten a email reply from eReward yet.

beachmouse Oct 31, 2017 11:13 am

I also signed up with NW and ended up with all the US redemption options when Delta left the program

SK Nov 2, 2017 8:06 am

Vitam regit fortuna, non sapientia

I received a similar answer with SquareHan, but probably even more clearly stated:

"American Airlines has updated the reward options and they have decided that some of the airlines has been removed. I apologize for the inconvenience."

I signed up through AA, twelve years ago. Strange that they would update the redemption options so drastically after all this time, but it is what it is.

bswiz Nov 3, 2017 10:33 am

Well, like so many others - all of my airline options except AA have disappeared. This particularly sucks since my wife and I had been redeeming eRewards into BA Avios since there were some good redemption rates for short-haul flights. Now I have 21K Avios and my wife has something like 15K - no idea what we will use them for, they may just end up getting abandoned. I do occasionally fly BA but usually use my AA # since I have status with them.

Unfortunately, things change. I still see UA in one of the family accounts and AA in the other. Not sure about the sign up sources, but Hertz points are my preferred redemption option given that I rent apx 7 weeks of Hertz cars every year.

I just signed up to e-rewards under BA link and i can collect avios only :(
Is there any working link so i can signup to collect any hotel points or at least i got a choice better than 2000 avios every 30 days?
thanks :)

Iberia would be your best bet. Sign up for E-Rewards Iberia Avios and you should get a wide choice.

roootra Nov 19, 2017 6:39 am

It could be a good idea but do you know any working signup link?

You need to join Iberia and then wait for an email invitation. Also bear in mind that you cannot transfer your avios points out of a new Iberia account until 90 days have passed. It's a pain if you want avios now, but in the long run, it's well worth it.

Also worth mentioning you can earn 3k avios per month with Iberia E-Rewards rather than 2K with the other avios partners.

roootra Nov 19, 2017 12:37 pm

I joined Iberia Plus around a week ago but didn't get any signup offer. Do they send to everyone or waiting can be a waste of time?
Is there any open signup out there? , all the link i have found online seems to be expired :(

Email invite only I think. Check your junk mail to see if anything's ended up in there. Make sure you're subscribed to the email communications in your Iberia account. Otherwise, you'll have to wait.

Might be worthing asking in the Iberia section of the forum, someone might know more than me.

redemption issue

I redeemed $100 of e-rewards currency for 2,400 Southwest Airline Rapid Reward Points....this was on Nov15, 2017....As of Nov 19th, 2017 they STILL are not showing up in my Southwest account....I have done this many times before, and the Points are usually in my Southwest account within a day or two...., when trying to contact e-rewards, I just get a generic e-mail response telling me of things to do if I cant log into my account (That is not the problem.).. I just want to know why my redemption is not showing up in my Southwest Rapid Rewards account...Anyone else having redemption issues lately?? No Way to contact e-rewards it seems ...just thru their website, I get a generic response or no reply....

When I've redeemed points for Southwest Airlines in the past, I've never had them post quickly. It has always taken weeks for them to show up in my account. So notwithstanding your past experience, I wouldn't start worrying after only 4 days.

Warning: Be cautious for a survey on TV, Internet, and Phone providers.

The number is 4549871. After about ten minutes and lots of questions about internet providers and what you look for in one it disqualified me saying they've received enough answers from people like me. I'm used to being disqualified after a few general demographic questions and maybe questions about my interests, but not after I've already responded to lots of detailed questions.

I'm curious about the 2400 miles for $100 - I redeem $100 in my account as well as my wife's account every month - and I've never seen more than 2000 offered. And I agree - Southwest has not updated very quickly.

Thanks for the heads up. This was often an issue with surveys a while back, then it seemed to stop for a while. I hope it's not starting up again.

Perhaps OKImready joined eRewards via a Southwest invitation. I joined through a Hilton invitation and as a result, I get offered more Honors points for $100 than the general herd does.

Beware of the potato chips survey too. Kicks you out at about 70%. Just say you don't eat chips.
