Just checked my account which I have had since about 2002 and all the airlines partners and rewards are gone. Only the hotels are still there. I sent them an internal email asking what happened. Probably the usual, they weren't making enough money on the airline rewards so they removed them without warning.
"Thank you for contacting e-Rewards. Unfortunately, due to recent changes of our airline sponsors, your previous reward options has been limited to the original rewards based upon your original account enrollment. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. In the event that you receive another invitation, you could cancel your current account and enroll through that invitation offer. However, please note that the sponsor in whom you enroll through determines which rewards are available to you." |

I still have Delta left. But that makes sense since I originally sign up with NWA. Wish I could get an invite from USAir.
My $25 Travel & Lodging redemption options give a good idea of who all US Airways partners with for redemption purposes: $25 Level ½ A+ Rewards credit 250 Skywards Miles 250 Virgin America Elevate Points 500 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan® Miles 500 Delta SkyMiles® 500 EarlyReturns® Miles 500 Etihad Guest Miles 500 FREE SPIRIT miles 500 Flying Blue Miles 500 Flying Club Miles 500 HawaiianMiles 500 Miles 500 Premier Miles 500 Rapid Rewards Points 500 TrueBlue points 500 US Airways Dividend Miles 750 Avios 1,000 Hilton HHonors® Bonus Points 1,000 Club Carlson Gold Points Even my 18 year old son has gotten an invite from e-Rewards - the T&C says anyone over 13 who gets an invite is able to sign up (and let me tell you, that kid gets more surveys than I do by a long shot, though the one who gets the most is my husband - apparently being in your 40s with only a high school diploma is a really good demographic to be in!) |
USAir sponsored e-rewards account
Just checked our accounts. It seems that all of the original redemption options are still active... several airlines including USair plus various hotel partners. Now I'm wondering what to do. Should I redeem now to be safe or take a gamble that all will stay the same? We have nearly 100 points in two separate accounts that we were building up in anticipation of a 2012 Grand Slam...wanted to be able to weigh the options for possible hotel points to get enough miles for a hit that would otherwise be difficult to snag. Thanks to all for getting this kind of info out there and a special thanks to 'needtoescape' for the redirect from a grandslam thread to this one!

This hasn't hit my account either - of course, I'm freaked that it might, since I tend to earn enough to support two airline habits. I have no idea whose invite I originally accepted, but I've always been able to deposit in any of their airlines and hotels. I'm just crossing my fingers and checking every day to see if I get clobbered...made a quick deposit in my less-favored airline just in case.
My sympathy to everyone who's getting partially shut down... |
I actually got an invite from AA this morning.

That's real news because I thought AA left the program a few years ago. I had an AA eRewards account which was sort of orphaned when this happened.

Last week, Iberia Avios and Southwest Airlines disappeared from my list of e-Reward redemptions (leaving me with no airline options). In response to my e-mail, the e-rewards folks said they were re-aligning the reward options based on the partner through which I received my original invitation.
This morning, American Advantage showed up on my list, for the first time ever. Go figure. |

Hope they are rolling out the new rewards. I just checked mine and nothing has changed. :(

American Airlines is showing as a redemption partner on my e-rewards page. I have pretty much every airline that participates and every hotel. NO IDEA who I originally signed up with...

No changes on the rewards with my mexican account, our rewards list is so small compared to those on the US, i got my invitation by Aeromexico Club Premier, and we just have:
I wish we had United because i'm 2000 miles short of a single ticket i will need in a few more months! And i know that if we had it i easily could reach the points i need for those miles. Btw, anyone has moved from one country to another and can change the country of their accounts?? I'm moving to New Zealand and i wish i could keep taking surveys from there. I know that some other survey companies (Global Test Market for example) allow you to do this. |
Thanks for the tip. I originally signed up via AA, have over 300 points waiting to convert to Hilton, so I could convert to AA.
Sure enough, though I received no notice of change, AA is back as an option--it was not there a couple of days. |
