Good offer, but it is definitely targeted (not just "might be"). Under "Terms & Conditions" it states:

e-Rewards members must enroll in Club Carlson using the link provided via email by e-Rewards by May 31, 2012 (“Promotional Period”).
(Bolding mine)

So the link was supposed to come via email from e-rewards.

I don't know how carefully these targeted offers are screened by Carlson, though -- could be you'll get lucky and get the 4,500 points anyhow.

If you don't already have a Club Carlson number you might be able to get 4500 from opening using this link. Then after you open you can request transfer of the 500 free through Erewards..

http://www.clubcarlson.com/privatePa...eCode=EREWARDS

I found this on the frequentflyerbonuses.com page and it stated it MIGHT be targeted. Since my husband did not have an account I set it up then did the Erewards 500 free offer. Crossing my fingers I could have 5000 free in a few months! Which I will transfer to miles...

it's important to remember that e-rewards provides member criteria to the groups that actually run the surveys, but the survey groups don't necessarily adhere to those criteria. in fact, i strongly suspect that the biggest source of fraud for e-rewards comes from surveys that collect the information they want and then disqualify you.

from what i've heard here and other places, e-rewards is good about giving credit for surveys that collect full responses and then claim disqualification. i certainly hope they keep track of the worst offenders and don't let them host surveys again.

They are very good at doing this. FWIW, I've seen quite a few "offender survey hosts" rotated out over the last decade.

Thank you very much for this link! The promotional code was already filled in on this page, so it appears to be working.

However, the free 500 points on the e-rewards site was available this morning, but after I signed up for Club Carlson, the freebie had disappeared! Anyone have a clue about this???

The fact that the promotional code was already filled in proves nothing. Maybe you will get the 4500 points, maybe you won't, depending on whether Club Carlson screens out those who were not actually targeted.

As for the 500 free points offer, it has disappeared for me as well. I already made use of it, and it continued to be displayed (but not usable more than once) until today. I suspect that it was only available for a very short time and has expired.

Unfortunately i cannot view this offer :'(

I just noticed that Avios points through Iberia have disappeared from the list of rewards on my e-Rewards site. Have others seen this, too? Does anyone know if the Avios rewards will be returning? Thanks!

Same with Southwest.....I used to have them as an option and they are now gone from my account. I just cashed in points less than a month ago!!

KathyWdrf Apr 24, 2012 9:38 pm

I still see both Iberia and Southwest on e-rewards.

Which offer? Numerous offers are being discussed on this thread!

If you mean the free 500 Club Carlson Goldpoints, that seems to be gone now.

Hi,
I have about 12000 opinion points in my e-reward account which I would like to transfer to Hilton Honors but it would appear that I can only transfer a maximum of 8000 points every 3 month. Is there a way round this?

AFAIK, no. Your best option is to transfer 8 K points now and 4/8 K points 90 days after 1st redemption.

What am I doing wrong? What ever offer I receive, I get "We apologize, but this opportunity has expired", even if its within 2, 3 minutes from receiving an e-mail...

Are you (physically) in the same country as your e-rewards account? They check IP addresses and you get that message if you are not....

mirohacek Apr 25, 2012 9:27 am

No, not this moment... :D
Thanx.
