I'm sure everyone here already knew this except for me, but about two weeks ago I was browsing the rewards section and saw an offer for 250 USAirways Dividend Miles for Free, so I redeemed $0.00 of my e-rewards and got 250 miles (they've already posted), then my husband logged into his e-rewards account and did the same thing.

Now today I logged in and was browsing the rewards section and found 500 Club Carlson Gold Points for Free, so went ahead and redeemed $0.00 of my e-rewards money to get myself 500 CC gold points, then did the same for my husband.

Anyone know how often the switch up the free travel points rewards?

I never knew there were free rewards. Just checked and Club Carlson is in my account, although I have no use for this freebie.

I had no idea either! I wish I would have known about the US Airways free miles!

Although I have no need for Club Carlson points I have finally realized I need to get free points whenever I see them. It turns out last year I signed up for a Club Carlson account and got some free points. 1500 to be exact. I forget how I got them but it wasn't through a hotel stay. Once these 500 free points post I can then transfer 2000 Carlson points over for 250 US Airways miles....

Thanks for the update! Normally I don't check the other awards because I focus on Southwest, Hawaiian, United or Hilton..

Thank you for the info! ^

How do you know you have no use for it? Were you aware that you can redeem 2,000 Club Carlson points (aka Goldpoints) for 250 miles in a number of different airline programs?

And there are other redemption possibilities as well:

In my case, I already had some orphaned Goldpoints that had been lying around, unexpired, for years. The addition of 500 points will get me tantalizingly close to 2,000 and the exciting prospect of exchanging for 250 airline miles! :D :p

Yay, it's not just me then, that makes me feel better because sometimes I don't see things right in front of my own face and it makes me feel kind of silly when I finally notice them.. LOL

When I look today the option for these free points is there again but then if you click through to it, it says I've already redeemed for this award "this quarter", so I guess every 3 months there's a new free travel offer.. or at least that would be my guess based on the wording regarding "this quarter".

But of course, this is just speculation at this point!

thanks for the heads up...now something else to check on from time to time!

Maybe you've never realized this before, but each reward has its own limitation on the frequency with which you can redeem it; for example:

Redemption of Club Carlson Gold Points is limited to one (1) redemption per calendar quarter, per Club Carlson account and/or e-Rewards member account.
You'll see this message when you click on the 1,000, 2,500, or 4,500 Carlson Goldpoint rewards.

(However, some rewards may have no such limitation.)

In all the years we've had two accounts - I've never seen the free rewards listed. When they show up - where do you see them?

Ah, thanks, in that case I guess it's anyone's guess right now as to how often the free offers are changed.

I logged into my account, then clicked on "Rewards", then on the left hand side of the screen there are a few drop-down boxes where you can select to browse rewards options by category, by amount needed, etc.

I selected the one that says Travel & Lodging, and at the top of the list that appeared was the "Free" offer.

Hope that helps!

Thanks - can't ask for any better help than that! :-) Ours still doesn't have anything there - but now I'll keep watching it.

I now need 26 points to cash out for the 250 miles. Any suggestions?

A better approach would be to click on Rewards by Level, and select "View All by Level" (the last choice in the drop-down menu).

That way, if there are any non-Travel & Lodging freebies, they would show up. (I have no idea if there have been, or will be, any freebies of this type, but in case there are....)

These sites include: opinionate, surveyliciuous, etc. Sometimes they don't configure their surveys in the best manner, but e-rewards always has made good on their reward to me. Very repsonsive cs.

And I always report those "incedents" to E-rewards and they always credit me for it. The way I see it is getting the reward for less time wasted.

500 Free Club Carlson... here's 4500 more..

Found this link....

If you don't already have a Club Carlson number you might be able to get 4500 from opening using this link. Then after you open you can request transfer of the 500 free through Erewards..

http://www.clubcarlson.com/privatePa...eCode=EREWARDS

I found this on the frequentflyerbonuses.com page and it stated it MIGHT be targeted. Since my husband did not have an account I set it up then did the Erewards 500 free offer. Crossing my fingers I could have 5000 free in a few months! Which I will transfer to miles...
