Interesting point, both my wife and I have been using e rewards to award miles into OnePass. We had both OP and MP accounts and had linked them. As the new MileagePlus program uses the OP number you might assume it would continue as before. OT we also have a UK MP credit card not sure how that's going to work either.

For the moment I'm keeping all our notification emails etc, just in case

I believe the coding for the "new United" is the old Continental. It doesn't look like there should be any issue here, unless United decides to unilaterally sever its relationship with e-r.

Yes, whopping $.25! That's borderline fraud, IMHO. Do they really need to ask a LOT of personal questions and waste good 10 minutes of my time in order to find out I'm ineligible? Give me a break!

I also believe that with all this penny-pinching silliness their service is totally useless to their corporate clients, since the respondents will just lie in their answers trying to guess which answer will NOT get them disqualified.

I completely agree with this. I think e-Rewards definitely should not allow its surveyors to continue asking questions once it has been determined that you do not qualify. And that determination should be made VERY early on. Nothing gets me more upset with e-Rewards than spending a significant amount of time on a survey only to be told, Thanks, here's your quarter.

Agree. Those paying for this information are likely to get useless feedback next time as members get jaded and just plug irrelevant info to get to the end fast. E-rewards is doing an injustice to their paying customers but not being ethical on this issue.

Hilton Out of Stock..

Weird...for the first time ever I went to redeem for Hilton points...and across all awards were the words "out of stock"...

How can they be "out of stock"?? Anyone ever see an "out of stock" on any other rewards?

It does happens periodically and generally gets fixed with about a week

Just wanted to see if it was just my browser glitching out or what but is anyone else having trouble getting on to the erewards site? I've tried deleting all cookies and using a different browser and coming in at it from different links but I'm always taken to a search site for the erewards term. I click on any link that will take me to the actual erewards site and I'm looped back to the same search page. Never had this trouble before. Any ideas what the problem could be?
Hoping the company didn't just disappear as I was just about ready to redeem a couple hundred dollars for some Hilton points.

Ditto. Hopefully it's just an IT issue as it was fine yesterday (and I too was planning on redeeming in the next couple of days).

Very odd - just received (within last 20 minutes) a survey invitation, yet still get the error message when clicking on the link.

gv111 Mar 18, 2012 9:04 am

This is really unusual - may be their domain expired or some other IT issue. Did a search on internet if they are closing but didn't find anything. Even Google cache does not show anything - "The requested URL /search?q=cache:http://www.e-rewards.com/ was not found on this server. That’s all we know."

I only had $25 in there. So not much of a loss for me if they close down but I hope that is not the case.

LOL! Just got a survey from them. The mystery gets deeper.

rapariga Mar 18, 2012 10:04 am

I've been having this problem since Friday. I was very close to reaching $50 and anxious to convert to miles. I can't remember any situation like this and find it perturbing and disappointing!

brasov02 Mar 18, 2012 10:20 am

At least we know they aren't out of business since we're still getting surveys from them. At least I think that's a good sign. Despite the fact that the survey link goes nowhere like every other link to erewards is currently taking us. The one bright side is that this is happening on a weekend so maybe they're just doing some maintenance. Although it seems if that were the case they would at least put up some kind of explanation to that effect. If it's still out of commission on business day Monday then I'll start to worry...
