I have a friend who wants to spend his Erewards $$, but has really limited options (compared to mine). I presume from reading here that it depends on who you sign up your account with, but I also read that by crossing a balance threshold more options open up.

Is there any way to open more options for my friend?

i believe you are stuck with the same options you had from the beginning unless that particular invite expands into more redemption choices. Having said that I don't believe it has anything to do with a threshold.

+1 here. I've been doing e-rewards for years, have gotten up as high as $200 before redeeming, and none of my redemption options have ever been expanded.

One of my accounts sits at $465 right now. Same options there as were there last year when I had under $25. Nothing changes, except sometimes they add and subtract partners as contracts expire or re-up. Been with E-rewards since 2001.

Your e-Rewards Bonus (for inactivity)

After not having time to click on any survey links for the past month and a half, I just received a $3.00 credit with "no strings attached". Actually, there were strings - I had to complete a very short internal survey about why I'd been inactive.

Just curious, how come you're holding $465 instead of depositing at least $100 of it, since 100 is the max deposit?

I have about $1000 in my accounts. I'm for one waiting for another double partner promotion from PCR. It would net me 80K in PCR points.

Aha. Good idea. I knew I was checking FT for good reason. The note-taking continues

E-Rewards

I'm just curious what people feel is the best value for $100 of e-rewards points. In the past, I've chosen Hilton. Yesterday i saw Priority Club up there but now it's gone. Also saw they just added Hertz. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yup, for me its Hilton. Once per quarter, like clockwork - a quick and easy 7000 HH.

Is anyone getting a lot of catalogs and junk mail in the mail as a result of using e-rewards? I did a consumer electronics survey once and I'm getting tons of electronics catalogs. Having more trash is not a huge deal, but I'm just concerned about privacy.

I'm starting to think it's too much trouble for not much return... Some surveys take as long as 40 minutes to complete, most 20 minutes.

WN transfers are now available for those who didn't sign up with an airline sponsor: 500 pts for $25, 1000 pts for $50, 2000 pts for $100.

But you can't just link a random FF account to AmEx MR. The holder of that FF account has to be either you or a person that has an additional card for one of yours.
