Question to the forum -
We went on a long international trip between late Oct and early Dec. The survey invitation emails stopped coming after we hadn't not done any survey for 2+ weeks. Now we are home and finally have some free time to do the surveys (we used to do them at a binge between 2 weeks hiatus). On Friday 12/09 my husband was able to do a few survey even though most of them were the 0.25 variety, then suddenly he could no longer click thru the survey. Today when I was in my account, every survey I clicked return as "This opportunity has expired." Then husband tried his account, he received the same result - "This opportunity has expired." even after finishing the qualifying screening and a survey loaded. At the end I sent them a message but did not get the usual robot reply of message received. FWIW our last survey batches were first half of October. Redemption were 6 months ago in June this year. Anybody has experienced the same thing recently? |

I don't think this is unusual. I sometimes go away for two weeks and stop doing surveys. When I get home, I resume surveys and I get a lot of expired surveys - and I actually get 25 cents for each one. But eventually the surveys return to normal - usually within a day or two.
However when using iPad the surveys behaved normally, I.e. a slew of $0.25 and a few successful ones. Though there is still no invitation email. |
I guess it is the holidays ... but I am getting very few surveys this week ... like just 3 or 4 per day other than the 25 cent ones.

Anyone know whats going on with E-rewards lately? The amount of time spent, and the rates look like they dropped. They are also not offering the .25 as much right now. Some surveys give you 0 if you don't qualify.
|
Yeah, I got the devaluation too. The $4 for 15 minutes ones are now $3.40 for 15 minutes, $2.50 for 10 minutes is down to $2.00, etc.
At least they haven’t increased what’s required for redemption yet. |

I'm still getting the 25 cents - but the rewards seem to have slimmed down and I get a lot of $1 surveys that seem to take forever. Anything more than $1 I figure I'll be kicked out after a few pages...

I agree with all the recent comments. Definitely less earnings these days.
|
Currently all of my available surveys show 0.20 if I don’t qualify.
|
All of yesterday's surveys were 0 for not qualifying. Two days ago I racked up several dollars on 25-cent nonqualifiers.
|
Based on you guys commenting above, I just noticed that my surveys now say "$0in e-Rewards Currency if you do not qualify for the study." What a rip!
|
I just got 20 cents for two surveys I was disqualified for - and the email says 20 cents now instead of 25....
|
After two days with no credits for not qualifying the $0.25 came back for me today. Seems like they corrected a mistake.
|
I've noticed the devaluation, but also the qualification questions are taking a lot longer.
Today, I have $2 for 14 minutes, along with $11.80 for 15 minutes. Luckily I cashed out on my rewards, this is mostly a a back up to accumulate airlines miles. |
Earlier today, I was getting ZERO cents for unqualified surveys. Now I am getting TWENTY cents.
|
same here, exactly.
|
Are they limiting the number of 20 cents for disqualified surveys per day? If they still give zero cents for disqualified surveys, then zero cents should not be considered a "partial incentive."

Looks like you are right. I get a few at 20c then zero.
Everything in the miles game always runs downhill. |
Today from e-rewards:
Lunar New Year celebrations are set to kick off this Sunday. So, what better way to HOP into the Year of the Rabbit than with a $10 bonus! What do you need to do? Just complete 3 surveys by January 31.* It’s that simple. |
Take away with one hand, giveth with the other...

I clicked on the link in my email for the first survey, then completed two more, and so far all I have are rocks in my account, not the $10 bonus. The email says the bonus will hit the account upon completion of the third survey....I'll give them a day before sending them a request for the points.
EDITED TO ADD: After completing a few more surveys, beyond the required three, the $10 bonus posted as "Punchcard." |

My quick calculation of the value of the points is about 1/3 cents each- so they're really nickel-and-diming us to chisel off 5 cents in Funny Money. |

I am still hoping for an IT bug they might fix again. |
Dayum. The $5.00 surveys are gone. The longer ones are $3.50 now. If I thought they were charging survey sponsors proportionately less for completed surveys I might be OK with that- but I doubt that's happened.
I'm a retired actuary and if I think of the expected value of a survey it would be (Probability of completing survey) X Survey reward + (Probability of getting kicked out) X value of pity points. So... Probability of completing survey seems to be decreasing. Value of completed surveys and pity points are decreasing. I find only the Hilton points to be genuinely valuable , with AA miles a possible second, so won't be working too hard to rack up more $$, especially since both of those have limits on the frequency of redemptions. |
This morning...

This morning I had surveys for $10, $6, $5, and $2.50. fwiw. |

And I'm done with the recurring ones (every couple of months or so) that lead you through a long list of brands or companies and ask if you recognize any. There are a couple of them that then lead you through a long list of questions for every brand/company you recognized. You almost feel punished for listing a lot of them. I just close out the survey. Yes, I could just check off a few but I really do try to hold up my end of the bargain and be honest. |
Weekends are generally when the survey router is pretty empty.
As annoying as the devaluation is, I’ll keep grinding away for the unlimited IHG and Accor points and a chance to add to my Alaska balance. |
I have not yet received my 1099 tax statement yet. Has anyone received theirs yet? (I know the deadline for mailing is 31Jan).
