None here- e-Rewards never asked me for my SSN either and I went really heavy on the Accor points last year so that should be an easy cash value for them to calculate if they were going to send me one.

apeortdz Jan 23, 2023 4:50 pm

Anyone else do the Pharmacy live study tonight from 6:00-6:45PM EST? Surprised that the study was 45 minutes rather than 90 minutes as expected.

TommyD2 Jan 23, 2023 7:29 pm

Finished my 3rd survey and it took 10-20 minutes for the $10 to post.

Completely different question - do different people get/see only certain redemption options? For me, my travel redemption options are:
- Alaska
- AA
- BA
- Aeromexico
- Etihad
- Flying Blue
- Frontier
- Hawaiian
- Hilton
- Iberia
- Jetblue
- Southwest
- United
- Virgin Atlantic

Others have posted different programs upthread like Accor, etc. that don't show up for me.

Would also be nice to see a wiki of which programs will extend expiration (where applicable) when you redeem E-Rewards points.

beachmouse Jan 23, 2023 7:35 pm

Which redemption options you get depends on how you signed up. Generally, if you signed up with an airline program, you only get that airline program and every hotel option. If you signed up with a hotel program, you get only that hotel program and every airline program.

Redemption options also vary based on your country.

And then there are those of us who got ‘orphaned’ because the program we signed up under left e-Rewards and the end result is we have all the redemption options available in our country. I signed up under Delta, who stopped participating in e-Rewards somewhere around 2010 so I’m lucky enough to have them all as redemption options.

Thanks beachmouse for the (really really quick) reply.

I really don't do these too often (never enough to get a 1099 at least) but lately have had some more time on my hands so just trying to maximize things. (Like today, for example - can usually get a survey done between boarding and taking off when I can't do much else).

So based on my list above I joined via a Hilton invite (since that's the only hotel on my list).

Can also do other survey programs (I think I have them for United, American, Jetblue and Amtrak) but those seem to be even less rewarding than E-rewards.

Happy Jan 28, 2023 4:04 pm

Haven't done any survey since the 12th, tried to do some today (forgot weekends should be avoided).

Picked the surveys from the account screen because the invitation emails stopped coming since we had a long international trip back in Oct thru Dec, hence could not take survey from the invite. Then it stopped when we were about 2/3 in the journey and never resumes.

Anyway, today I got 4x 0.20 survey then a $5 survey that miraculously went all the way to finish. After that I got 3 unqualified survey with 0 payment. To their "credit", they did say that on the front page, and the disqualification went rather speedy. Though I am not sure next time when I see the 0 payment I would even bother to go thru it, based on last time when I was disqualified as "enough participants" when the survey was 87% completed... Though upon complaint, a rep did credit my account despite she claimed that I was indeed not qualified (but the reason on the screen was "enough participants").

I just hope certain hotel and airline programs would become participants so I can use this as the activity generator to keep accounts alive - that is my main purpose of doing this.

I'm pretty sure I read something on the survey invite saying you can only get five 20 cent credits - then it goes to 0 which is what seems to be happening. I sent them a long scathing email when this started and of course I got a nice response back thanking me for bringing it to their attention....

Justin Does... Jan 29, 2023 10:19 am

I don't think I've noticed this caveat before on the survey start page "*You can only earn this partial incentive up to 5 times per 24 hours." That seems to explain the "$0in e-Rewards Currency if you do not qualify for the study*" message?

I finished my taxes last night then realized I would probably get a 1099 from Dynata again this year (last year was the first time after years on e-Rewards) for the gift cards I get with e-Rewards. I came on here to see if anyone was talking about it - and you are - so I'll sit back and wait until people start saying they got theirs :-)

Back in '21 I got a pop up after having cashed in I think 8 times to an airline. The pop up said if I continue with the redemption I will have to provide my SS#+. So DH told me to continue earning the $s and to cashout after 1/1/22, and thats what I did. Except I keep cashing out since that popup never popped up in '22. I had in the double digits the number of times I cashed out, and never supplied my SS# so Im hoping that no surprise letter will be arriving

I've never had them come after me for airline/hotel miles/points - only gift cards.

What do you need to do? Just complete 3 surveys by January 31.* It’s that simple.

How do I get this survey sent to me in an email?

+1 here. One year I leaned hard on GC redemptions and I received a 1099. In other years, with the majority of my redemptions in airline miles/hotel points, I have not received a 1099.

You should have received it just by being enrolled in the program. However, I'm not sure it really matters, as there was never a formal registration link, just a link that took you to your dashboard. No guarantees, but I think as long as you simply complete 3 surveys by Feb 4 you should receive the bonus. It shows up in your history as "Punchcard 10".

I suspected that was the case- I’m an e-Rewards power user but it’s all points and miles, even the ones with an easy cash equivalent like Accor and Southwest- and they’ve never asked for 1099 information.

Every month I normally redeem 2000 miles each for Southwest, United and American along with $25 gift cards from Target, Home Depot and Dominoes - with an occasional every other month 7,000 points for Hilton - and they have only sent me a form for the gift cards.

Do they honestly think that once you have hit the five screened out for the day you are going to continue?

and to make it worse it seems to be a rolling 24hrs rather than actual day.

I sure don't. I remember one poster asking the theoretical question of whether you could just keep providing enough info to get yourself disqualified from each survey and keep collecting 25 cents. My response what that they might check for that and besides, I believed in being honest at my end even though some did steal too much of my information before kicking me out. Maybe some people were actually doing that.

bj2757 Feb 5, 2023 9:15 am

I received my 1099-NEC form yesterday. It covered $800 in gift card redemptions.

jonmch Feb 6, 2023 1:48 pm

Got mine today, all gift card redemptions

Win $500 e-rewards currency

Received today an email with the following e-rewards contest:

"we’re kicking off the Big Game with a Giveaway too big to miss:
Every survey you take now until February 19 will grant you an entry into a Prize Draw worth a whopping $500 eRewards Currency!
The more surveys you take, the greater your chances of winning. "
What it doesn't say, but you can find in the T&C, is that you have to **complete** a survey, not just "take" a survey. And "every survey you take until February 19 will grant you an entry into the Prize Draw" **BUT** entries are capped at 20 completed surveys.

Here's the fine print from the T&C, with my emphasis added, including how to enter without completing a survey, **BUT** you can only do it once:
  1. "By completing any online survey between 00.00 CST on February 7, 2023 and 23:59 CST on February 19, 2023 (the "Promotion Period"), you will receive one (1) entry into the Promotion. Additional surveys participated in thereafter, will also be counted as entries into the prize draw. Limit: twenty (20) of entries [sic] per eligible entrant during the Promotion Period.
  2. To enter without completing a survey, eligible entrants may send an email using the contact form, along with his/her full name and e-Rewards registered email address, that states the following: "I would like to enter the Promotion without completing a survey. I have read, understand, and agree to the Prize Draw Rules of the Promotion. I understand and agree that I am providing my personal information to the Promoter of this Promotion and that my personal information will be stored on servers in the United States and used only for purposes of administering the Promotion, subject to the Promoter's Privacy Policy."

Upon Promoter's receipt of the above-referenced email, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the Promotion during which the submission was received by Promoter. Maximum one (1) entry per person entering the Promotion without completing a survey.
    "

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I haven't seen any or heard of any in quite some time. Perhaps it needs to be a targeted offer?

The Apple App store and Google Play store have e-reward apps for your phone. I only use the desktop version so I can't offer any more information about the phone apps.

The OP was talking about where s/he can get an invite from e-rewards to sign up to open an e-rewards account, s/he was not asking where to find an e-rewards app.

An acqaintance last fall got an invite from e-rewards from Albertsons after having signed up and joining Albertson's shopping program on Albertson's website. I'm not aware there have ever been generic sign up links, you need to be invited from one of their participating sponsors, fyi and fwiw

There is an invite link from British Airways, however this only gives Avios as a result. There is (was) a link from Accor, but I never received a survey after signing up from there.

Whats the new rate of $1 = to e-rewards now? Did a zoom study that paid $150. want to know what its equal to, got paid for it yesterday but the amount was really odd 277.70 was what I received.

The conversion rate is 36% so your $277.70 converts to $100 not $150.

UpInTheAir Feb 25, 2023 7:48 am

How do they do Zoom studies? Do they just use the chat function for participants to type in the answers to the moderator's questions or are participants expected to turn on their cameras and speak?

It varies based on the company actually doing the study. (e-Rewards is often only the connection and compensation point and not the company runnign a specific study) I’ve had ones that are chat and others that were talk and speak.

Has anyone figured out how the 20 cent credits work? It seems like I get a few surveys each day that offer the 20 cent minimum for trying and then it reverts to zero for trying. I wonder if they give you like five 20 cent tries each day or something like that. But yesterday, it gave me a bunch of zeroes and then a few 20 cent ones later in the day and then back to zero. I am trying to figure out the pattern but I haven't got it yet. Anyone?

Several of the emails I received said you could get five 20 cent awards per day - after that you get 0 if you don't qualify. It seems to do that most of the time, but I have had more or less at times.

Thanks. So basically one dollar per day for unqualified surveys. Too bad. There were days in the past where I would not qualify for 20 surveys and that was worth five dollars.

And I complained to them when they changed it. They know everything about me through my profile. They know I am a 77 year old white male. But I get disqualified from 85% of the surveys I get because of one or more of those. E-Rewards says they are responsible for matching us with appropriate surveys - but they don't, they send them out regardless of whether you meet the basic criteria - wasting our time - NOW wasting it even more by not compensating us for them not doing their job. Their response was a typical "we didn't even bother to read what you sent us but here's a reply - now go away" response.

randix Mar 3, 2023 12:33 pm

that is all very true as to what they do...

beachmouse Mar 3, 2023 12:47 pm

I don’t mind the ones where you screen out pretty quickly because I realize that hey, they need a certain mix of respondents and it’s not quite getting the right demographic responses in real time if they’ve hit their quota for white 50 year old women from Florida yet and all.

But you shouldn’t be hitting a screen out point once you’ve gotten more than three minutes in.

I know- I encounter these offenders in almost every session. I wish there were a "report this survey" button but we know who the real customers are. We're just the merchandise.

I've sort of made my peace with the new structure. I don't click on the low-reward ones (even though the high-ticket ones may be looking for a very narrow category of people so I might get kicked out because I have no plans to buy a new car right now). I have a good success ratio on the high-reward ones because I invest and I have a a lot of electronic toys. If I realize early on that they're looking for someone who has a specific health condition, buys "luxury" brands, uses vaping products, etc. I close out immediately. I may choose lower-value ones if I can still get 20 cents.

Usually I can get Hilton points every 2 months and AA miles every month. This month it will be Hilton point sonly. So be it.

beachmouse Mar 13, 2023 12:18 pm

There seemed to be a sign up link, at least for some countries, in the All Accor general e-mail on point earning I got today. Which is IMO not a bad hotel program to be locked into- IHG and Choice are the other good unlimited earning hotel options- and would give you the airline options for the country your account is located in.The current Accor option of transferring 2,000 points to Flying Blue at 1:1 is actually not a horrible cut in the process, though I don’t know how long that will last.
