I apparently signed up for a contest through Lincoln recently. Today I got a targeted mailing from them containing a space pen (remember those?) and a coupon for a free pair of Maui Jim sunglasses with test drive at my local Lincoln dealer.

So if you need some sunglasses and get a packet from Lincoln in the next few days, don't just chuck it in the trash.

I got a test drive offer for $25 gift card in the mail from Chevy yesterday. Probably came from an entry to win a car or truck in a sweepstakes...where they ask if you want more info..apparently I wanted to know more about Corvettes. The offer specifically mentions my interest in Corvettes and in the fine print at the bottom says the test drive offer excludes Corvettes. Oh well...guess I'll not be driving a Corvette. Maybe a Nova.

A buddy of mine got this as part of a package for a golf tournament he played in recently. It is for a $200 Maui Jim gift card after test driving a GMC vehicle. He gave it to me and I'll be trying it out in the next few weeks.

Usually, summer season tends to be slow on test drive offers. It picks up around fall season as they try to lure customers to buy out the current year inventory.

Does Cadillac have a $50 offer? I signed up for last year's Chevy offer for a $50 Cabela's gift card but they fulfilled it with a Cadillac Visa card due to a dealer's mistake. The dealer sells both makes. They said sorry and asked me to accept the substitute.
