Great find! Test drove an ELR, and promo paperwork was a breeze. They are strictly enforcing the non-GM owner clause in the T&C since this promo is part of a conquest campaign, and $50 of the $100 is coming from the individual dealership's pocket (vs. all from corporate like some promos).

Test drove one yesterday. Easy process to get the code. Targeted campaign, but unsure to whom, and the dealer didn't know either.

Correct. The Cadillac dealer nearest to my place was adamant about proof of a non-GM vehicle, which in my case was a CA DMV car registration.

is there a form you need to print out prior to going? I didn't see one??

I went yesterday. After getting approval for the offer online, I did NOT receive any form. I did receive an email from my local dealer shortly after registering. I called to verify that it was OK to come in.

When I went into the dealership, the sales rep first completed my registration for the offer on his computer. He asked for the VIN number of my current car (I showed my proof of insurance) and some data from my drivers license, and he then entered this onto a web form. I was not given a paper form to fill out, nor was I given any paperwork after the test drive.

I wouldn't have been so forgiving with a company that just took a $300MM write down for product liability claims and is facing a federal criminal investigation for hiding known product defects from consumers for 10 years.

To clarify:
1. Click on the above link
2. Fill out the on-line form
3. Receive an email from GM (same day)
4. Go to the GM dealer (can be same day)
5. Test drive a new model as a non-GM owner
6. Supply your VIN and a few personal details for the dealer to populate a different hardcopy or on-line form.

My local dealer said they only had 40 gift cards and gave them all away. Not sure if it was BS (I don't fit their demographic) or not.

Test drove a 2014 today, 10 minute drive, gift card will be in 4-6 weeks.

Since 1/2 the money is being footed by the dealership, yes, they probably did set a cap.

The dealer I went to said they had 20 left. And yes, $50 comes from the dealer, $50 from Cadillac. Glad I got my test drive in.^
