Thanks for the info -- however, this is the 6 consecutive joyless day for me.

Thank You

I got 5 points twice today. I've been getting points about 50% of the time, but never more than 5.

2nd day in a row w/o points (seems they're a little stingy this time around...)

Are those people dealing in "SkyPesos" rather than in United miles? (for the rationing, that is...)

They are not United miles, nor are they equal in value to United miles. It costs 6,900 Mypoints to get 2,500 UA miles, or 13,000 Mypoints to get 5,000 UA miles.

For redemptions for the most valuable gift cards (e.g., Amazon), Mypoints are worth about US $0.006 each (i.e., 6/10 of a cent).

And yeah, pretty stingy.

I prefer to use them for LL Bean gift cards, which have a redemption value that is approximately 33% higher ($.008 each).

ANOTHER day without snowflakes (I do live in the Tropics, thank you, no "Jonas Brothers" to get from underneath, although for my brothers in N. GA, NY, NJ and PA, no such luck...).

The comparison to "Sky Pesos" was for what you all know already about DL FF program "lack of value" (kinda' of like MyPoints). Me? I prefer to accumulate those fee-free activities to take a $100 Sears GC every 7-8 months and spend it on my hometown's KMart whenever I see a good clearanced item I could use in the near future...

I think everyone tailors their redemptions to their particular needs. I very rarely purchase from LL Bean (once every 5 years maybe), but purchase very frequently from Amazon. Thus I am willing to pay a bit more in Mypoints for a gift card I will actually use vs. one that I won't.

I couldn't find a 800 number but I did a search and found (415) 200-4200.
