Probably. But if the long term fix hasn't been found, and their regulators won't accept the interim repairs, it's likely that the same situation may arise again and any potential leasing company may either run a mile or insist on punitive clauses and disproportionately high charges.

And meanwhile, that ever increasing number of expensive airframes sat on the ground in Doha aren’t going anywhere until one or more of QR, the Qatari regulator and Airbus backs down, loses in court, or come to a compromise. It's an expensive mess, primarily for QR and probably also indirectly for us passengers.

Definitely, I would say, not probably. The whole shambles has led to the substitution of smaller and/or older planes on many routes, with poorer hard product and reduced capacity, and often resulting in fuller planes and higher fares.

Total 29 frames grounded:

A35K - 12/19 operational, 7 grounded (A7 ANB-H)
A359 - 12/34 operational, 22 grounded (A7 ALA-L, P, T, V-X; A7 AME-I)
The most recent grounded A350s are A7-ALJ in 30 July and A7-ALK in 12 September. Both aircraft are stored in DIA.
Nothing else happened since then, probably due to World Cup is coming. They might trying to not further ground any of their aircraft if the condition is acceptable.

A continuation of the leases is the short answer.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if BA operates a route or two from DOH, onwards to further afield. Eg Australia. Watch this space.

edit - they’ve also just loaded some A380 flying to/from DOH during the WC. Curiously similar arrival/departure times to the usual QR schedule. Presume this frees up a hull or 2 for QR as a result.

What conditions are u talking about ?
the one who don't ground any of the other A350 delivered to other airlines ?

Airbus delivered already 500 aircraft A350...
So the only QR problem start to look embarrassing.

The "regulator" does exactly what QR tells them to do.

QR, having put themselves into a hole, are unlikely to backtrack until there is some indication from the British court, probably by mid or late 2023..

QR really shot themselves in the foot here. Absolutely meaningless series of groundings and drama. Waste of time and money for both the parties, and even the passengers who have to put up through the Qatar Airways fleet roulette when booking flights.

Airbus is implementing some design changes, potentially leading the way to peace.

And giving Qatar a bit more of a chance to 'win' their case when they seem to have incorporated those changes(I interpret as improvements) in A350s. Maybe it's just wishful thinking there would be a quick settlement.

A350 issues

Don't know much about the technical stuff but just flew QR A350-900 from Zurich to Doha and then A350-1000 from Doha to Lahore.
Such a gorgeous plane inside and out.

@A350Blog Twitter account has just posted this:

Following a flurry of political activity and a successful 4-way meeting between Qatar, Airbus and their respective regulators last week in Doha, the tone seemed more positive and negotiations have sped toward an agreement.

Apparently the news is coming via ReutersAero.

Fingers crossed there is a resolution to this issue and the 29 grounded aircraft are put back in the air sooner vs later!

Hopefully that’ll start giving them the capacity to bring prices down to a more palatable level then 😬
