What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul Business?
The Business Class meals served are of a far higher quality than those served by most other airlines.

What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.
There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.
Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus frequently, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.
The 2018 thread contains the newest menu for each flight from previous years for continuity.

The 2016 menus can all be seen here.
Menus from earlier are mostly using another meals service system and cannot be used to understand the current menus.

From my limited experience with QR I ordered special meals but could choose things off the main menu when on board (if available). It’s not like BA where you are left high and dry for ordering a special meal and getting a awful dessert or find out something better is on the main menu.

I thought to pick dishes that are rather hard to pull-off on a plane, and so I had the Lobster Macaroni Cheese, Roast Salmon and the lava cake for dinner. The macaroni cheese was dry, inedible, and tasteless, whilst the salmon tasted rather strange and felt much heavier than it should be due to the sauce. The lava cake though was very enjoyable.
I wasn't too reassured by the idea of Eggs Benedict on a plane, but ordered it anyway. It was possibly one of the saddest manifestations of the dish I've ever seen. The hollandaise was thick like a paste, and the eggs were fully cooked, was not good by any means, but still edible. The cold pressed apple juice and the yogurt was great.

Had a lovely flight on my way back from my HAN turnaround from BKK, thanks to a generous FT member who upgraded me with his Qcredits leftover.
I went for the cheese plate and decided to try the new Brazilian red wine, which was pretty good :-)

- QR831: Since it is a QSuite flight should I also expect the snack platters or does this vary depending on time?
- Can I count on a full meal service on QR169? Departing DOH at 2am.

Having taken a few flights with the exact same timing, I would imagine that QR831 would primarily be a breakfast service with some lunch dishes available on a on-demand basis within the any-time menu.
