The offer is being able to book 1 night in a 4 Star hotel in Doha for 23 USD or 5 Star hotel for 28 USD

iluvdoco https://discoverqatar.qatarairways.c...s/PLUSQATARTNC says "Offer is valid for Qatar Airways tickets with transit in Doha", "Offer valid for Qatar Airways confirmed ticket holders only" and ".Qatar Airways E-ticket number is required to be entered at the payment page. Maximum of one booking is allowed per E-ticket number."!
So no it has not happened!

Uber works, if you're not opposed to their business practices.

To be clear, that means that your ticket number must begin with 157.

I third Uber in Doha. Used it to/from airport twice and worked fine, car arrived in less than a minute. You can use the airport WiFi in the arrivals area and then walk out when approaching.

Just checked my Uber fare history and an UberX to Marriott Marquis was 36.46QAR and 43.16QAR back to airport. UberGO will be a bit cheaper.

I stand by my earlier posting about the local driving habits and the very real downside of confronting or showing your annoyance at reckless drivers. I have personally known several people who proved to be the ‘cautionary tale’. That being said, you are absolutely correct about the plethora of taxis and the low cost of the service provided.
I agree that there is no point in a tourist renting a car.
If you get frustrated too quickly, or cannot stay calm then driving here is not an option! A big car with tinted windows helps! I know of someone who literally had to pack up and leave the country because they used a certain hand single whilst driving once! I have, however, seen worse driving in other countries.

Do they allow you to check in early? I'm arriving from JFK at around 6am and received my confirmation for The Westin, I was hoping I don't have to wait til 2-3pm just to check in.

FlyPointyEnd in post 429 of this thread orbitmic says " no you just get the discover Qatar confirmation and you have already stated your check in preference at the time of booking. You get your room for up to 24 hours from then." (My bold) Therefore it should not be a problem.

Indeed, at the booking stage there is a scroll down menu for preferred check in time which lists every hour. (off the top of my head I think ther was even a scroll down menu for preferred check out time too!)

vbh812 provided you check out by the end of 30 April (23.59) then yes you should get the free stay.
If you want a problem to worry about then since the hotel booking is for 24 hours no matter how long your transit you may need to ensure that you check-in at the hotel by midnight 29 th April!! You should ask the +Qatar help desk.
