There's a chance that the offer might get rescinded if you don't take it soon, so it's a gamble to wait for a drop in price. LHR-DOH is a 6.5 hour flight so you have to see if it's worth upgrading in general or not.

I would say $1000 is "reasonable." Not the lowest I've seen ex-USA but also seen higher. $1000 is about where I think it makes sense for me personally after buying a Y ticket. There is 1 lingering non q suite 77L out there I believe? Others can correct me

So under the Health worker campaign, you were NOT offered an upgrade days before the flight but was only offered an upgrade at checkin/airport? I'll be flying YUL_DOH on the same campaign in November.
