I just paid USD348 for Windhoek to Doha upgrade Y to J after the Doha to Windhoek J seats were sold out, no upgrade of any sort was possible
luckily on the flight down the back of the plane was empty and the crew service was attentive
I want to burn these Qmiles ASAP though without getting stuck in Economy again

Got offered QAR 1400 (about 400 USD) Doha to Muscat onboard A320 with full lie flag seat - yes, marketed and sold as F, but in reality it is J with Arabic coffee and dates service.
No Qmiles, no baggage allowance of lounge access...

A friend of mine got DOH-ZRH upgraded. 2 Persons for 750 USD together. They have been asking 500 USD each but he said no, he said would pay the 750 for the two of them and they agreed because J was pretty much empty that day.

You can probably upfare (transforming it into a real business class ticket with all the perks like extra luggage allowance, lounge access, more Qmiles...) your outbound LIS-DOH-ICN for about the same price as paying the upgrade for only the DOH-ICN...

Why no decent priced cash offers now?
Why is it that in previous times you could get reasonable deal on these emailed offers, but now they are ridiculous prices?
The last offer I received to CLK was just about on par to the actual J price!

The price to upfare would be more than 1600EUR, I decided to take the offer. However there was something new for me, there was a "Deal" option that if you accepted the upgrade for both the legs there would be a discount of 150 euros. So I too both for about 1000 Euros, not the best deal, but as a QR Platinum I will be able to access Al Safwa for the 8 hours layover, which I would not be able to access if I upgraded with my miles.
