flying both ways in November. Also when you try dummy bookings on any dates in November the DOH MIA flight will show a A350 the MIA DOH a 777. Probably they forgot to load until now the change for the MIA DOH sector. Looking at the seat maps for my flights it looks like there are not a lot of bookings...

My flight QR 831 BKK-DOH on December 1st has changed from A380 to B777.
Very disappointing, being a solo traveller (and anti-social!). I've been looking forward to this flight since I booked in January. I know the risk with QR, but I had high hopes. Sigh.
I enquired about changing to an earlier flight on a 787 but with a charge of £857 (!) I declined...
I don't see this change in any of the published schedule changes. Does anyone know more? Is it a permanent change or is there some chance I might get lucky and see it switch back to an A380?

Since September QR836 has been changed from 777 to A340.

Same for me in November. They have squeezed the A380 into a 4 row C class 777 300ER and when i rang to try and swap to the earlier nearly empty 787 they admitted that my flight was heavily over booked but still wanted to charge me £400 to move to the earlier flight.

Qatar Airways during the month of November and December 2017 is temporary adjusting operational aircraft for Doha – Guangzhou route, currently served by Airbus A380 on daily basis. From 06NOV17 to 27DEC17, Mondays and Tuesdays service (Guangzhou Tuesdays and Wednesdays departure) will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER. First Class cabin is not offered on the Boeing 777.

Does anyone have any insight what's going on with the A380s in the fleet in November. It seems that the 380 service has been thinned on the BKK route, and now also CAN. Are one or more of the frames going off for scheduled services?

In this case you totally correct. A388 has some scheduled maintenance at the end of the year so CAN gets downguaged, if I recall, in Mon/Tues in most of Nov.

Just another change..finally QR decide to increase the capacity for HKG!
Qatar Airways in this week’s schedule update adjusted planned Doha – Hong Kong service, from 02DEC17 to 31JAN18. During this period, 1 of 2 daily QR818/817 service will be operated by Airbus A350-900XWB, replacing Boeing 787-8.

Has anyone picked up that at least for Summer 2018 (I'm checking June and July 2018) there are no A380 flights on the DOH-BKK route. It seems to be replaced by a B787 and/or another B777-300.

QR 833/832 on the saturday fligt Doha-BKK-Doha is still A380 during all this time until end oct.18 as far as i can see.
