Doha lounge closed?
Guys
A family member just boarded a plane on route to Doha airport and was told the business class lounge is closed. They told her to meet the transport officer to get 10k points
Does anybody know about this and will they give 10k avios points since the award ticket was booked with British?

Any word on the how Qatar is handling J arrivals lounge requests at the new airport. Presume arrivals facilities are closed too... It seems they have temp lounges for J transfers & departures, but what about the shower we all need on arrival..?
The new airport's web page gives a little hope:
"Just before Immigration there is an exclusive lounge for Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers. It offers a chance to relax and freshen up. Facilities include a smoking room and complimentary buffet"

I'll answer my own question for the benefit of the group. I spoke with the airport today and they confirmed that the Arrivals lounge is open for J passengers. This will be for those clearing immigration and going landside. They confirmed that showers are available. For some with long transfers the $35 visa on arrival may be worth it to go enjoy the actually open arrivals lounge.

Phew, I'm on vacation and I have QR transits as follows :
J to F, 5th July, 4.5 hrs
F to J, 6th July, 1.55 hrs
J to F, 14th July, 14 hrs (by design, 6pm to 8am, planned to test the new Transit hotel).
Just hoping that the Hotel opens before/with the Lounges.
And, by the way QatarA340, I really appreciate the work you have put into your airport review. Thankyou.

Which DOH lounge for a OW Emerald flying in J?
I'll be flying QR in about a week in J, transiting through DOH overnight (AMM-DOH-JFK) and am a OW Emerald. I've read some threads and posts with references to lounges, but I'm uncertain about which lounge I'll have access to in DOH...especially with things in transition what with the construction of the new airport.
So...as things stand right now, am I entitled to access the (temporary???) F lounge, or just the J?
Thanks for any help!

Is the Oryx lounge pay-in only ?
I will have a 3 hours layover in HIA next weekend, on a HKG-(CX)-DOH-(QR)-CDG J redemption, only CX Silver.
Should I expect to be told the lounge is not available and given vouchers/QR miles ?
Is it possible to use the voucher to pay the oryx lounge?
