Ah, okay, thanks... I'm still a bit new to the use of alliance lounges and wasn't sure if I was maybe misinterpreting the rules.

But you're right about the timings, and I guess this is why Qatar use a 3rd party lounge: 00.40 and 18.35, whereas JAL is 10.05 and 14.25. So, unless you like turning up really early, I guess the JAL lounge is useless (well, I guess QR check-in wouldn't even be open!)

InternationalLiving I find the https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access page very useful and it is usually kept very up to date. As you yourself have mentioned third party lounges are not usually available to other OW guests than the airlines specifically stated in the description.

The JAL lounge is not very exciting anyway. It is fairly small and fairly basic. Waiting room would be a better description than lounge.

And due to the number of elites on the route, it often overfills and late comers are being escorted to another lounge a few steps down the hall.

In Berlin TXL, it seems that QR is now not only using BA Terrace Lounge but since recently (?) also WISAG Lounge, operated by the infamous ground handling agent of the same name. Has anybody ever heard of that lounge and can tell something about it, e.g. location, offerings? I have to admit, that although TXL is my home base, I have no clue.

ex-koelner according to https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access for TXL no OW airline uses the WISAG lounge.

Any feedback on the BA Terraces Lounge at JFK terminal 7 as apparently that's what Qatar uses for #704 JFK/HIA?

Whilst I haven't been there myself, OneMileAtATime has a good review of this you might be interested in reading:

Was in the small TG lounge nearest the gate for QR833 a few weeks ago. Lounge area was nothing special, but the small food and drinks area was a pleasant surprise. The hot food had some tasty little Thai food wraps and some succulent and quite delicious chicken tikka pieces, alonside the usual cold buffet variants. Food was replenished whilst we were there. No bubbles available, but a decent choice of premium spirits and liqueurs (obviously catering to local tastes).

I was also surprised to find some quite well kitted out sleeper pods behind the food area (about 10 of them, if I remember correctly). My wife 'relaxed' in one for awhile - she'd been on the mojitos in the Lebua Club Lounge all afternoon .

I traveled through TXL yesterday and asked Wisag staff, who also do the check-in for LH, but they haven't heard of it either.
Seems that QR lists a phantom on its website.

Can anyone help with this, please? We're flying QR out of CPH next week, in business. Arriving from BRE with SAS in eco around 11 am. Outbound flight is only at 6.20 pm. Does anyone know for how long we'll be allowed to use the lounge and if there's alternatives to the obviously much dreaded Aspire Lounge? I know we won't be able to check in for the flight to Doha until 3 hours before the flight, so that leaves us with roughly four hours to kill, with an 11 year old child and all of our luggage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:-)) Thanks!

There is a cash alternative for Copenhagen Apartment lounge, at 169 DKK per person. It is hardly worth it though.

You say you will not be able to check-in until 3 hours before, are you on separate tickets? If so you will not be able to access any lounge until check-in. However online check-in can solve that, as long as you have a home printed or mobile boarding pass.

Consider leaving the airport, and go to 'Den Blå Planet' (The Blue Planet), the aquarium very close to the airport. It is really well made and interesting. Consider pre booking tickets as the lines can be long if you are there on a weekend.

Syrah if you want to be certain of what seats you have then use the QR OLCI function. But be prepared for no boarding passes being issued, just a boarding pass like page with the comment 'This is not a boarding pass' somewhere on it. You will need to go to the check-in desks to obtain boarding passes. It is also extremely unlikely that BRE will check your bags through to your final destination but it is worth a try.
So you will need to leave the airside area so as to collect your bags and check-in again.

There are luggage boxes in the multi storey carpark building just opposite the closest entrance to the QR check-in area in Terminal 2.
As CPH-Flyer says The blue planet is well worth a visit. http://denblaaplanet.dk/en/

Sit back and enjoy your flights with QR.

Thank you both:-)) The tickets are separate, yes. I'll try the online check-in and see what it looks like. I don't think that they'll check the bags through, no...

In case we decide to visit the aquarium, how do we get there (will fly this Wednesday, so hopefully lines aren't too bad)? Taxi?

In case we decide to just hang out at the airport, is it hard to find spaces there where one can also hook up a laptop and other electronics? I have never flewn via CPH so far, so not quite sure what to expect there. Denmark, like Germany, isn't particularly known for being service-oriented...
