Where does Qantas source their IT staff for their website?

I am in Melbourne on 8th Feb and looking for a hotel. In Qantas Hotels I see Holday Inn on Flinders showing full rate at $350.00 but QF managed to get it for $400.00. Thank you QF

Good business for QF if they can get away with it. "Freedom of choice", "buyer beware" and "shop around" all spring to mind.

But thanks for timely reminder that Qanats Hotels are not always cheap.

Attempting to book CBR-PER using points;
Funny that CBR/PER via MEL goes up to 52000 points!!!
None available via SYD; althought from SYD there are plenty of availability, and only for 36000 points in J (even those via MEL).

Weird!

Just noticed these flights via MEL:
QF851/QF777 is 26000 in Y
QF477/QF769 is 18000!

Flights via SYD are all 18000 (inc. QF577)
How can this be?

On a different search CBR-SYD, I could pick J on QF564 and QF704, both in time to connect with QF577.

Do you think the rewards desk would waive the $50 fee on these as they are available, but not online?

There seems to be a bit of a screw up with the number of points required for upgrades at the moment, too.

http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/...oints/upgrades

I hope I'm reading it wrong but the table now says a SYD-PER upgrade from full Y to J is 15000 points. Previously it was 10000.

Also note what must surely be a typo where an upgrade in zone 4 is actually less points from discount Y than full Y.

Feature request - child booking

For the Qantas lurkers out there - how about designing the booking engine so that if I book a ticket for a child, that by default a child's meal is entered into the 'special request' section. Currently you have to go into 'manage my booking' and add the child's meal in after the booking has been completed.
