Arrow Qantas.com - Mistakes/Errors/Issues/Bugs/Features

Mistakes
  • Still showing Domestic A330-300 seatmap (38J/305Y)
  • Still showing non-existent B747-300 seatmap namely 52J/370Y
  • BAe146 seatmaps are no longer valid as aircraft is no longer in service with QantasLink
  • Route map - incomplete
  • Route map - When selecting two QF/Link destinations, "Price from" always shows as $215, even for a short BNE-NTL, MEL-HBA etc.
  • Need to remove Kununurra airport guide as QF no longer services this port
  • Major Disruptions page needs updating - The London fuel shortage has long passed, as has the suspension of ZL services to ARM etc

I though Kununurra was a seasonal port with flights operating May-Oct. Are they not going to operate this next year?

Kununurra was performing poorly for QantasLink. It was my understanding KNX was operated year round (1x weekly), upping to 2x weekly during the "Dry".

From the Qantas.com domestic routemap:

Important Information:
This service only operates direct in one direction from Perth to Kununurra. When travelling from Kununurra to Perth the flight is via Newman. This service will cease operating on 28 October 2006.

Cheers

Website Enhancements

Instead of errors how about some enhancements, such as being able to book open jaw and multiple destination reward tickets?

Out of curiosity when would there be a benefit in booking an open jaw intin as opposed to either a multi destination or two seperate one way sectors?

Potential change and cancellation fees - two one-way bookings cancelled will incur 10Kpoints in fees, one open-jaw trip cancelled will only incur 5K points. This gets down to serious points if there a number of OJ segments on the one itinerary.

One of the more efficient use of QFF points when using them for award flights is the oneWORLD award. With this award
Surface Segments" [AKA "Open Jaw"] are permitted as part of oneworld Award Itineraries, but the distance between the disembarkation point and the next embarkation point will be included in the Award Point zone calculation for that Itinerary.
However, to book oneWORLD itineraties containing Surface "Open Jaws" you currently need to telephone QFF thus incurring the 2500k point "Assisted award Booking Fee" per PAX.

I would like to see them improve the fare search function on the JQ page. For one thing being able to set flexible dates would be handy, as would having a message telling you the flight doesn't operate on x day when you search that date rather than "no flight or seats" message.

I'm not sure that this is still the case. You now seem to be able to do this through the booking engine - although, I never took the booking through to being ticketted.

The OW awards already have the assisted booking fee already included in their cost
