I saw this too. Very stiff competition in that city so it should be interesting. 2020 is a ways off though...

Any recommendations/thoughts on the Brice in Savannah? Rooms, dinning at the hotel? Are the balconies worth it? Thanks in advance.

This was posted in a more appropriate thread:

Based on this article, its 149 rooms and located near Vendome/Opera. Looking at a map, its ironically one block over from the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand. http://www.boutiquedesign.com/conten...on-heads-paris

I suggest you refer to the existing thread on this property and post any follow-up questions there: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...ga-review.html

Thanks, FlyinHawaiian. I'll enquire there and post post-trip info there as well.

Taconic Hotel - Manchester, VT

Spent the week-end up in VT again (third stay in the last four weeks - hotel really is great). Nothing left from the goodie bag of local specialty items, so I was offered either a free cocktail or free in room movie.

Hotel Wilshire - Los Angeles, CA

Chose from a small bucket filled with folded slips of paper and picked a good one - $50 credit toward the Roof on Wilshire (the hotel rooftop restaurant/bar)

As an Inner Circle, most of the items they were offering (room upgrade, welcome amenity) were already part of my package. I was offered a free pay-per-view movie instead.

Cardinal - Winston Salem NC

Asked about the secret password at check in and was told "I'm not sure what we're doing for that" and again in the morning and was told to reach out to the Karma line to see if it was still going on. Very odd.

Otherwise a really nice stay - a lot of history here, in walking distance to good restaurants and Old Salem, the children's museum, etc. Staff carefully picked our room so our family of four had plenty of space and would not bother other guests. Rec Room in the basement was a lot of fun.

Brice Hotel Savannah, GA

Complimentary valet parking offered for the password. Great benefit at $29 a day. Honestly was going to complain, because it took ten minutes for the valet to show up. But, it is a beautiful hotel.

Hotel Vintage: choice between popcorn and movie, two cocktails, or half off valet parking.

Palladian: was offered $40 towards breakfast at check in. Since I was leaving at 3 am to catch a flight staff did a $40 minibar credit instead.

Both lovely properties with outstanding staff. I am not IC but both properties assigned me substantial upgrades even before arrival.

Complimentary valet parking ($33 a night value). Restaurant was fantastic, especially the lobster sliders.

Drew from a bucket of options - a bottle of Pinot Grigio which was sent up to the room with a nice note.

Comped $35/nt valet parking or two continental breakfasts ($30 value). Found street parking so went with breakfast!
