Palladian in Seattle -- $25 F&B credit. Used it for breakfast to-go. Waited 30 minutes...for oatmeal and sliced fruit. The oatmeal was so bad I threw it away; I didn't know it was possible to screw up oatmeal. Big waste of time waiting for this.

Excellent Philly Monaco...
I'm interested, what happened here. It seems the folks in Philly have had a hard time adopting the typical Kimpton customer service standards.

Monaco Chicago - offered a free movie

Monaco Pittsburgh - they let me look over the cards as per earlier in this thread - for giggles I asked for free parking and without missing a beat they said sure ($35 value...)

From their facebook page:

User: I will be staying in October I hope that code still works thank you for responding!
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants: We're bummed to say that secret word runs out on September 30th, Anita. Though we know you'll still have an amazing stay.
is the secret word ending?! or did they just mean a new one is coming?

Vintage Portland: we already put something in your room as IC was the response to the secret password.

That is lame. I'm surprised. That property is usually exceptional about taking care of guests.

Madera DC- free dinner at Firefly. Dinner was $100, took it off the room bill before I even checked out. Best one yet!

Buchanan SF - They had a mini Zen rock garden with 6-8 stones. You pick one and turn it over to reveal your gift. First one was an upgrade, which I already had. Next was a movie.

Salomar San Diego: Free drink at bar. Turns out the bar didn't accept that coupon except "after happy hour" which I wouldn't be there for. The guy at the poolside bar was kinda an ... about it.

Palomar San Diego: $30 F&B Credit

Palomar Chicago- they have a jar to pick from. Picked the late check out one which I should already get for IC. Didn't need anyway.

Monaco Chicago- was offered a bottle of wine or free movie.

Monaco Pittsburgh - At check in a couple weeks ago they said the secret password ended Aug 30. I disagreed and they let me flip the cards anyways. We chose free breakfast and ended up spending around $50. Later in the night I showed them the Kimpton tweet stating Sept 30 as the end date. They apologized saying that's what their manager told them earlier in the week.

I also inquired about the Nightcap Program. The front desk stated it is only offered on weeknights. Disappointing...considering hardly anyone even knows of the program.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay at one of my favorite Kimpton Hotels. Upgraded to a suite. Decent IC amenity. Female bartender Sat night at The Commoner was excellent.

RiverPlace in Portland this week. They asked what I wanted and I suggested free parking. He comped valet parking and gave me a voucher for a cocktail. Pretty good deal...

We're new to Kimpton, were thrilled to use the secret password in our first stay 2 months ago. We have another stay in 2 weeks, do we expect a new password to be announced (and if so, where?)
