We were given a form and told to follow a link on the form and submit for a refund. We have now tried that link (it's the contact/customer relations one) on various browsers and after entering the information in and attaching the requested documentation, the web page comes back with "An error occurred while sending the form"

We have tried several browsers and still keep getting this error with no description of what the issue is. Anyone encountered this before and have a possible solution?

Bad Condor Experience

I was recently booked on Condor (Business Class) on a Westjet round-trip ticket from YYJ through YYC (segment with Westjet) and then on to FRA with Condor. The positive side: the experience in the air was great, wonderful service and food. The seats were quite hard, but that could be helped with the provided mattress pad. So no complaints there.

The issue was Condor on the ground:
  1. Chaotic and inefficient boarding in Calgary
  2. Bus gate in FRA on the way in
  3. Bus gate again in FRA on the way out, chaotic and slow boarding
  4. No automatic baggage transfer in YYC on tagged through bags. According to a customs officer, Condor does not subscribe to this service, so you have to do it the archaic way: claim your baggage, haul it through customs and then to a Westjet baggage drop. Also, you go through security again. No Westjet transfer desks were available, so you went from Terminal D arrivals to Terminal A Westjet check-in, a long haul with heavy luggage (and my connecting flight was from terminal D again...) I have last experienced this type of customs/connections handling in Canada about a decade ago. I will not repeat this and not use Condor for the foreseeable future, at least.
@Condor: all the above may be acceptable on a $500 economy ticket, it was totally unacceptable on a $4,000 business class ticket. Unsurprisingly, business class was half-empty on both flights

There's not really much Condor can do as Frankfurt doesn't have enough gates with Jet Bridges.

I think, in addition to posting it here, this would also give an excellent email to their customer service so that they know where to improve.

Just a data point - we flew the FRA - PMI route last week and my wife pointed out that she was wondering why there were so many people in the middle seat of the business class cabin in front of us. I was surprised at how many middle seats had been filled. At the time I thought it was just families who wanted to sit together but now it seems like this might be a route that this frequently happens on.

I don't recall the number of times I flew through Frankfurt and I would say majority used busses.

Condor will move to the new FRA T3 in Summer 2026 so the bus madness will end then. Of course connecting to a Lufthansa feeder will be a nightmare, but we'll focus on the good things for now ;)

oh, that is good news indeed! Any plan for a lounge?

oliver2002 Sep 22, 2025 8:52 am

Lounge space in pier H & J (total 5000 sq m) was rented out in 400, 600 & 1000 sqm lots in 2023.

https://www.fraport.com/de/newsroom/...gestartet.html

The images of the H pier show lounge furniture: https://terminal3.frankfurt-airport....inneren-werten

Which look very similar to LH interiors, so my guess is that similar to BER and MUC T1 the lounges will be owned and operated by GateGourmet Lounge GmbH (formerly LLS) as contract lounge. I'm sure the AF/JL/Primeclass(TAV)/EK lounges will also reappear in T3 in some form.

Trying to determine if I need to clear immigration in FRA or if I can take the tighter connection if my bags can be checked in BOS through to BCN.

Probably too late of a response now since summer's over, but in my experience Condor will NOT through check bags on 2 separate tickets even if it's Condor to Condor. I flew SFO-FRA and FRA-MXP on 2 separate Alaska awards as well and although the counter agent could see my second leg, every time he tried to link the two the computer threw an error. In the end I still had to collect my bag and then recheck it with Condor in FRA. FRA is always a mess so you need to make sure there's enough time to do this. Plan on giving about an hour to 90 mins to collect your bag after landing as FRA baggage handling is almost always delayed.

Thinking of booking Condor for a trip to BUD next year.

Unfortunately seems like I can only do mixed cabin (YYZ-FRA Business, FRA-BUD Coach).
Does whatever lounge that DE has contract with allow entrance if arriving on business class fare but departing on economy (both flights on same ticket)?

This is also for 2026 so I guess there'a possibility the answer wouldn't apply depending on when DE opens their rumoured lounge.

TIA

Condor should be moving to Terminal 3 some time around May 2026. What will the situation be in there, if indeed Condor will have moved by the time of your flight, is unknown.

I don't seem to be having issues booking business all the way through though.

no lounge access. Is FRA-BUD DE operated? Is that a paid ticket? Should book into J on both segments.
