Condor should be moving to Terminal 3 some time around May 2026. What will the situation be in there, if indeed Condor will have moved by the time of your flight, is unknown.
He said they are closely monitoring it, but don't yet see a move to Terminal 3 on the agenda for the next 10 to 12 months. |
Some small nuggets from our flight this week.

Flew FRA-SFO in business class over the weekend. The flight was comfortable while there are something I feel that they could use some improvements.

Condor is mostly bus gate in FRA right now until they move to the new T3.

We flew Condor last week, FRA-LAX. We entered the terminal three hours before flight time and got to the gate no more than an hour in advance. We had our boarding cards and needed to drop checked bags off. That meant we needed to go to the extreme end of the terminal. We then went thru immigration and found we were a significant distance from our gate. It took a very long time to get to security for that area of the terminal. Despite our business class boarding card saying we had priority, there was no way to expedite security. We got thru then decided we'd better figure out where our gate was before heading to a lounge. it's fortunate we did so given how much time it took to get there.
On the good news front, we had an arm to the plane both in FRA and in LAX. Here's an oddity. 3 or 4 days in advance, the front seats dropped in price from $500 to $249. We like the larger foot well so decided to splurge. I couldn't do it online so I called. I was then quoted $300, not the $249 it continued to show online. Regardless, I'm very grateful to have gotten the 70K mile award and would continue to do it over and over if only Condor didn't routinely show the 70K awards as phantom. |

Where is T3 in relation to Sheraton/Marriott? We stayed at the Sheraton both inbound and outbound on this trip and appreciated the ease of walking to it.
You'd have to take the new Skytrain to get there. Condor's Executives recently mentioned that they have, at least in the short-term, no ambitions of going over to T3. |
Just to mention, DE offers the night before check in. I did it on my last DE flight this past August. I received my boarding pass and had no check in luggage but was told they do accept luggage. It helped me out the next day as I went straight to security.

The flights on Condor business class was fine. On our trip out of LAX the flight was delayed by 18 hours due to a medical emergency on the way to LAX. Condor put us up in a hotel for the night and gave us a food voucher that couldn't be used because we accidentally went to the wrong restaurant at the hotel. The flight was great, the lounge was great and we made it to Frankfurt. What a nightmare! The number of stairs and chaos and a bus ride to stand on the tarmac for our Lufthansa flight was not user friendly. Basel Switzerland was a piece of cake getting out of the airport.
The way home was worse at Frankfurt. I had to go through secondary screening and the Condor staff was a MESS. We got to the airport 3 hours early and it took all of that to get through security, secondary security at the gate. There was NO organization of the lines or processing of passengers. We then took a forever walk to get to the gate and plane. We didn't get to use the lounge and that was a disappointment. Flight home was fine. |

I got my family tickets via Alaska on points but I can't seem to add our passport info on condor. Condor says API is complete yet I only see my name and nothing else. I was able to choose our seats, but it feels crazy that I can't find a way to add our passport info. Do I really do it when I check in or is there another method for those who rather not risk doing it ast minute.

You have to do it during (online) check-in, via hotline or at the airport. Doing it during online check-in does usually work pretty well. The hard "you have to do it at least 75 hrs ahead of time" comes that way because German's don't get that they have to file it at all for US flights and especially the destination address is a big hurdle as a lot of people only do it at the check-in counter in Frankfurt which causes quite some lines and Condor eventually split out the check-in for US destinations to a dedicated set of counters because of that. |
