The current Omni can't work, IMHO. I also feel that the bad feelings and animosities and grudges that start in Omni infect the rest of FT. I say, get rid of it. </font> OMNI is a complete antithesis of what FT is all about. It has NOTHING WHATEVER to do with miles and points. It has lately ALL to do with with upsetting the Moderators there. Which seems VERY easy to do. On clearly VERY shakey grounds. "Oh dear .. we disagree with your point of view. You are banned forever". Hmmmmmmmm. Pathetic. This is not Moderation - it is Star Chamber or McArthyism. I agree with Jon NYC. Close it down Randy. (Again.) Glen, we'll have to agree to disagree over Omni.
Those who play along nice in Omni have a great time. Those who seek trouble will find it real fast. This weekend was proof of that. The system works. If Omni were to go away, I would probably hardly visit FlyerTalk again. I'm sure many would agree with me on this. |
Nobody has EVER been banned from Omni forever for disagreeing with us. Besides that, we can't even ban anyone forever, Only Randy can do that as you are well aware.
