I think JNB at $8338USD for an AONE4.

I've read the whole thread. My question was more in reference to people who have recently flown through to take advantage of the xONEx fares. Obviously a lot of people booked these (myself included, 2 x DONE4), but nobody has yet to properly "report back" on their experience.

Goodluck!

Are you stopping over there, or < 5 (or was it 6?) hour connection?

Two people have reported that they have started xonex's from KRT in the thread in the last few months, not people that have just reported that they have been to KRT.

Your approach should be legal and appears similar to what Tauphi did when he successfully completed a twov at KRT to start a done4, from UAE to Jordan:

kiwi flyer reported a unsatisfying attempt at a KRT transit in 2011:

And that's the sum total of the reported experiences, iirc.
True, two people have posted relevant experiences (albeit one of them was very brief and lacked detail). Would be keen to hear more recent experiences, particularly vs the number of us who have booked xONEx from KRT!

I'm staying four nights. I figured that if I'm going all that way to get to the airport, I might as well see something of the country also.

I will, however, question the RJ agents in both KRT and AMM about the possibility of doing the same-day TWOV as I am due to end this DONE4 in KRT and start an AONE3. Depending on how lovely, or not, Khartoum is, I may not want to spend the time and money to re-enter the country in April.

I'll try to remember to report back later this month - as will BobbySteel.

Happy Travels.

The others languishing incommunicado in the Khartoum prison for immigration violations, no doubt.

If you are finishing up a ONE and need a flight home there are some decent J and F fares available. The funny thing is EF doesn't show some of them unless you specify the airline. Most appear bootable via OTAs. If you need one let me know.

Always looking for decent F and J (I) fares, any reason not to post more details? I don't expect ITA or EF to show the LCC fares (Skyscanner for those) but otherwise wouldn't ever think to specify a carrier unless it was for my own purpose.

The reason is to minimize exposure. For your home airport try RJ in J for ~$2,600 r/t.
